Sat fat, trans fat and gluten. Why?
Sounds like a law firm.Sat fat, trans fat and gluten.
ok then it's only a bad omega 6 ratio and gluten in that caseSounds like a law firm.
Here is the info about trans fat:
Ingredient Information: The only animal by-products used in our doughnuts are eggs (whites and yolks) and dairy products (including milk, butter, yogurt, whey, nonfat milk and nonfat whey). We use vegetable shortening (palm, soybean, and/or cottonseed and canola oil) for zero gram of trans fat per one serving of doughnut. All monoglycerides and diglycerides are vegetable based. Enzymes are also present. The lecithin we use is soy-based. We also use wheat in our doughnuts, including bran, germ, gluten, starch and flour.
Wow! Congrats! Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry to hear about the wind and rainWalked for about 45 minutes at lunch. Clouding up and windy...expecting rain and thunderstorms this evening.
The key to a happy Krispy Kreme experience is to get the donuts hot and fresh, while they are still coming off the fryer right after being glazed. The donut then honestly melts in your mouth in a warm, gooey, sugary mouthful of gazed goodness.
Krispy Kreme stores have a neon "Hot Now" sign that is lit up when they are making them fresh and it draws customer in the know in like flys to a bug zapper. The donuts are so hot employees box them with a wooden dowel because they are too hot to pick up by hand. Most will go right over to the sugar glaze waterfall and pick you up your dozen or two right after the donut comes out from under the glaze.
We once got a dozen on the way home and ate the whole box full before we made it up the driveway.
But, a Krispy Kreme at a grocery store or gas station that has been in the box awhile is just another donut. Try one that is still hot and gooey just off the line and it is a game changer.
Now we have one store near us that just leaves the hot now sign on all the time and they claim the donuts already boxed and in the display cases are still hot. Not the same thing and that is not the point of the hot now sign. The hot now sign is to let people know they can get them right off the fryer, freshly glazed, which again is totally different from any other donut.
If I could, I would stop every time we went by a store that had them hot. I cannot anymore.

YUM!!!! Yes, that is how you are supposed to get a Krispy Kreme donut--right in the store when they make them and glaze them--and serve them warm. Oh I wish I had one now!! My favorite location was (prior to 9/11/2001) the location at the World Trade Center, NY. When visiting NY, I'd go there for a rare, special treat if I was in that area. I've have the packaged (box) ones before, but they're not even close to the real experience. There was a store up here in MA some years ago and it was all the rage, but then sort of fizzled out. I think MA is more of a Dunkin Donuts state.
Donuts are a weakness with me, regardless of what brand they are!
Nice story. Thanks for sharing. We stopped at Graceland a few years ago when passing through Memphis. Had to make the pilgrimage to Graceland being that close.Hello,
I am checking in with a full body workout. It is a series I bought last year, that I never did all the way through. I'll try to make it through this time.
I went for long walks yesterday and Sunday, since the weather was agreeable.
Krispy Kremes! Ha! I remember the first time I had one. A looooooooooong time ago, I was dating a guy from Memphis and we went to visit his parents for the weekend. He introduced me to the evil deliciousness of a "Hot Now" KK. The one he took me to was across the street from Graceland. LOL After the first time, we went back many, many times in the short span of a weekend and I am not into doughnuts at all! I remember thinking, "It's a good thing we don't have these back home, it could be dangerous." What happened a few years later? They started springing up like mushrooms after the rain in my area. When I lived in London, KK there had a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup doughnut. That's gilding the lily to me. :O
We get the roast beans now and grind our own. There are a lot of different varieties out there and it is always fun to try new blends.@MR FERRET and I share the same weakness. Coffee. Believe it or not check out your local health food store. Many now have a nice selection of very nice high end organic coffee at a very good price. I said good price for what they are not brand X cheap. But you'd be shopping at a small local store.JEALOUS!!! It's been so many years now, that I can't even remember the last time I had a cup of REAL Kona!!! I also love really good coffee, so add me to the coffee club here!
I only recently started liking coffee. Up until my type 2 diabetes diagnosis, I never really cared for it and would have a Coke or Mtn. Dew for breakfast instead. Another thing was office coffee had usually been sitting for half a day and made so strong I just did not care for it.@MR FERRET and I share the same weakness. Coffee. I love a good cup of coffee.
