Ok-I'm still in. Things just got a little funky with Thanksgiving and then I was a bit under the weather for 2 days. But I am back in my groove now.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to do for dinner as the boys ate all of the chili I was planning for dinner! I'm going to carmelize some onions add some garlic and stir in the leeks my mil gave me, some mushrooms and the last of the shredded collard greens and some canned cannelli beans then make a light cream sauce with soy milk stir in some rosemary and thyme. I'm going to serve it over baked acorn squash. I hope it works as that's all my 2 footed food predators have left me. I got out and walked today with a friend who hates the cold more than me, but she said the holidays are not doing her any good. i wish she called before I did 5 advanced miles (the one with weights) food shopping tomorrow as I'm just about out of food again

Hello,
Checking in with a Fitness Blender lower body/cardio workout yesterday and a Jessica Smith download called "Five Fat Burning Miles" and an upper body workout. I need to try getting out for my daily walks again. It's just not so pleasurable for me in the colder weather. LOL

I feel your pain I don't even like going from the car to the store in this time of year. I hear most of us east of the Rockies are going to be a bit on the warm side between now and Christmas. Here's hoping

Good morning and I'm glad today is my "rest" day. LOL Yesterday I got up and did 5 fast miles LS, then headed out for a full day of errands. I didn't get home until time for dinner. Talk about shop to you drop.:hilarious: At least it warmed to about 60 so we parked at the far end of every parking lot to get the most walking in that we could. Today's exercise getting the tree up, decorating the house (inside) and cooking. Tough luck, too bad that's all I'm doing LOL I did manage to get brussels sprouts, kale, collards and broccoli on sale and they looked great! It's a bit nippy so meatless meatloaf, baked butternut squash, apple, berry crumb and a root veggie combo is going in the oven today. I hope your all happy and healthy this holiday season.

Hello!

Today was a lower body workout from Fitness Blender. I am doing a rotation of their videos and it ends next week. I am thinking of doing another round because the workouts average about 40 minutes and that is perfect for the holidays. My clothes are lose at the waist, so I feel like I am going in the right direction. I ended up making a stir fry over udon with homemade teriyaki sauce for dinner tonight.

I noticed the weather forecast was mild for this time of year. I hope it holds out, because it's really not bad for walking. I went out for a walk today and I broke a bit of a sweat just wearing a fleece (not a heavy winter jacket) on top.

I love when that happens this time of year. I needed to leave mt coat in the car Saturday while shopping and I wear it when it's 55.:joyfull:

Beautiful weather here in the South today. Came home early and walked three miles around our little neighborhood. Could tell I don't walk frequently enough as I am feeling it in the thighs and calves right now. Supposed to be nice with temps well above normal for the rest of the week.
My brother and his family were at Disney yesterday for one day before embarking on a cruise today. He emailed me a photo of the WL Christmas tree and I thought I would share it.

Happy Tuesday! Prevention's drop it in 30 days(love it lots of lunges and squats) and the blue and yellow miles(LS Ultimate 5 day walk plan) It's a bit nippy this morning so it's out for a social walk later with the slow group. Today's dinner hot and sour soup:hungry: Mine isn't traditional and it's vegan( veggie broth onions, mushrooms, bean sprouts, kale, vinegar, ginger, diced red hot cherry pepper, stevia, tofu, a bit of shredded carrot and cabbage)

Good morning-

Yesterday was a lower body/hiit workout and Monday was cardio and upper body toning. I realized after my workout I had worked out seven days in a row, so I am going to have a rest day today. I am still going to get outside for a walk and do some stretching, though. I'll take advantage of the mild weather as long as I can! :D

Last night, I made a coconut veggie curry. I'll post the recipe, if you want, @figmentfan423 . It makes a ton and I have enough for a few lunches.

After 2 days of squatting and lunging I decided LS 5 advanced miles and some outside walking would be a good idea. So I got in my upper body and steps.

Here you go:
http://www.budgetbytes.com/2014/03/coconut-vegetable-curry/

ETA: I roast cubed tofu that I sprinkle with coconut aminos and add at the end for more protein.

One more thing, she uses frozen vegetables. I would use fresh cauliflower and broccoli next time. I felt like the frozen veggies tasted "watery."
THNX it's a bit different than what I do. I do use frozen cauliflower 2 pounds and I use lentils and add some peppers and yellow squash and leave out tomatoes.

Weather still very nice here and makes the afternoon walks much more pleasant. Supposed to be in the high 60s today with a high of 72 forecast for Saturday. Looking forward to that. More walking and grilling scheduled for my weekend. Gotta get the camper winterized and closed up and covered for the winter too.
