Good morning to all my friends and fellow Disney lovers. It's a bit frosty again so I'm not sure how much outside walking I'm going to do today. Guess my house might just get a little extra clean, unless it warms up. LOL This am I did an hour of aerobics on the EA Active program, loving this as you can't cheat with motion sensors and heart rate monitor strapped to you. I did find the one and only downside to losing weight.:(o_O Given the choice between better health and a smaller # on my clothing label or more calories burned , guess what I'm choosing.:D l'm eating the collards and garbanzos for breakfast, salad with blueberry dressing for lunch and escarole stir fry for dinner. I hope all of you have a great day, stay warm and keep moving forward.

Good Morning to ALL!
@real mad hatter I LOVE Ghost Chilis or anything that packs heat!
@figmentfan423 my Grandpa use to grow hot chili peppers and then dry them out. We had fresh red pepper flakes for your pasta. Whoa...hot, hot, hot but delish!

I had a wonderful practice this morning with thoughts of a fantasitic movie I just watched, "Finding Joe"! If you have the opportunity give it a watch, outstanding! The first line sucked me in.....
The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.

So get out there and move it! Be you! Be Awesome!

Breakfast today is califlower soup and lunch is homemade 3 bean salad. Dinner tonight is pumpkin soup and a hunk of vegan bread straight from the baker.

Sending love and good wishes to all of you!

All my veggies hit the dust about a week ago. The mint and oregano are still holding on. Mojito time!

So I made a very good salad for dinner. Bed of shredded lettuce with cukes, onions, mild jalapeño (no ghost chili), and topped that with a five bean salad from Sams Club. Topping it all was cubed blackened chicken leftovers I had grilled this weekend.
It was a nice variety, and sometimes we tend to get in a rut with the same old boring salads. This one was not boring. Now as usual I put too much ranch dressing on mine. Did try the raspberry vinaigrette my wife had, but I like my ranch or thousand island but usually go with ranch because of the lower carb count.
Anyway, just trying some variety and this was pretty good.
Gotta get much more serious with the walking. We live within easy driving distance to several State Parks and really should do more hiking than we do. Gotta get motivated to move it, move it...I got a lot to move.

@epcotisbest , you've gotta wean yourself off those creamy dressings!! Try some kind of Italian vinaigrette (anything oil& vinegar-based) or maybe just try putting on half of the usual creamy dressings...these are small steps that can pay big dividends, I know, they worked for me!
Thanks...I know you are right...it just seems to make salads much more palatable. Bought a Vita-Mix a couple of years ago and I have tried making my own fresh oil and vinegar based dressing, but mostly they turned out nasty. Have made some good smoothies though...and have been trying some different green smoothies, but nothing has really rocked me yet as far as meal replacement smoothies.
Thanks for the advice...I have cut back on the amount of ranch...but not nearly enough yet. Gotta get determined to just flat out eat better. Thanks for the encouragement.

Yea for he Vita-Mix! Now let's get you off those creamy dressings. Have you tried silken light tofu in place of mayo in dressings? Home made dressings take a bit of work to get the taste just right. Maybe put a bit of mustard you really like in them or if sugar is calling your name maybe some stevia. or maybe get a few healthy cookbooks and try new things and if it sounds good but doesn't quite work out feel free to experiment. I know you can do it. Great idea about going to the parks to hike but remember going around your own neighborhood is cheaper as you don't have to drive at all. Every little bit adds up.

Good morning it's warmer and my spirits are up. EA Active workout 4 done and I followed that by doing Shiva Rea's Surf Yoga. Yes I finally got around to trying that one. ok 2 weeks later, but better late than nevero_O That being said I'm not sure how I feel about that one, seeing I didn't feel as centered as with her other practices. Oh well, at least it's going to be warm today and tomorrow so out I'll go for a walk in a bit. All the talk about salads has me thinking about one for breakfast. I have some nice spinach, cucumbers, celery and garbanzos, topped with "honey Dijon" 1 tbsp. olive oil, 2 tbsp. white wine vinegar, 1 tbsp. Dijon 1 pkt stevia (my dh has me put 2 in) blended well and diluted with water to desired consistency. My black beans are on the stove because for lunch I'm making them with asst. veggies and a "foo young sauce" dinner is still up in the airo_O I have leeks, sweet potatoes, asparagus and now I just have to figure out what to do with them. Have a magical day and keep moving forward. ps please post low fat low sugar salad dressing recipes if you have any. thnx
