Morning all!! It is a chilly 35 down here!! Brrr! Hitting 25 Sat morning!!
Moving a lot today to keep warm!!
Having granola and yogurt for breakfast. Lunch is leftover turkey burgers with avocado sauce. Dinner is veggie frittata.
Light stretching and walking on the agenda.
@epcotisbest do you get these nasty stinkbugs in your house? They are driving me mad!!
@MR FERRET are you and the Mrs getting new tattooes?
Everyone have a magical day and move it, move it!!
Yes, those stink bugs are numerous this year and they are quite sneaky. I don't know how they get in but they find a way. For a while, just about every evening we would find one crawling along the top of a wall, or just hanging around on the moulding.
Spiders and yellow jackets have been plentiful this year as well. Must have been all the summer rain.
Gotta eat good for breakfast and lunch, have an arts center reception tonight. Have a niece, only 17, who entered a juried art show in the adult category and won not just her category, but best in show! Big confidence booster for shy, unsure teenager. Yeah!

Yes, quite cool here...freeze warning for tonight and tomorrow night and we have some friends from Florida camping in Hiawassee. Let's just say it is a bit cooler up there than when they left home a couple of weeks ago. Gonna be in the mountains until not this Saturday, but next. Luckily they have a smaller, but nice motorhome, pulling a car, so they are not exactly roughing it.
Gotta go disconnect the hoses from the outdoor faucets before the freeze. Brought in all the outdoor plants over the weekend and last night. It looks like a jungle in here and have already found several ladybugs and spiders that came in on the plants.

Quick, low res photo of one corner of one room...you should see the basement.

This looks like my Mom's basement when she brings in her hundreds of plants!!:p

I haven't been in this thread in forever, but knowing how many of you are veggies or vegan, I wanted to share this great-looking recipe with you, it's for butternut squash gnocchi with vegan butter and sage sauce. It just looks so yummy! (scroll down, it's the second recipe)

BTW, nice deck garden, @figmentfan423! No weeding required! I recognize the tomato plants, what are the others? They kind of look like rosebushes to me...:)

While I'm personally not a vegan, I appreciate the link. It sounds pretty good! Drop in here any time. Lots of good encouragement for me here as I struggle to lose weight and be more active. It used to be the only exercise I got was the journey between the recliner and refrigerator.

Thank you and feel free to stop by more often. The others are potatoes. We also do sweet and hot peppers, squash edible flowers, beans, peas and we've done carrots in the past. Those containers are homemade earth boxes, one trip through Behind The Seeds and my dh was hooked. Thanks for the recipe.

Namaste, I just love what it means. The light in me recognizes the light in you. Yes even you @MR FERRET LOL It's cold and I'm having my decaf coffee and later some ginger tea to warm. I did a solar practice this am and that seems to have helped a bit also. It's going to be my usual busy Friday so a nice hot veggie scramble for breakfast, packing a salad with arugala, tomato, onion, cucumber, grated carrot and garbanzos for lunch and dinner will be the usual Friday meal left overs. Have a great weekend and keep moving forward.

Ah, potatoes! You'd think being Irish I would have recognized them! LOL I haven't tried growing them in years, probably because I have clay soil and the yield wasn't worth the effort. Containers are a great way to grow them, I should try it next year. I have all my veggie garden in containers, too--3 kinds of tomatoes, bell peppers (I let them get red, don't care for 'em green), zucchini, string beans are my regulars, and I've done spinach, lettuce and peas, too.
