(NOTE - Despite the misleading headline, No animals were hurt. The fight was between two people, not animals.)

A tussle between two workers in the hippo pond at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom overnight ended with one man doused in gasoline and other in jail, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The two men, employees of a Disney contractor, got into some argument while cleaning the pond at about 3 a.m.

One of the workers, Stephen Kim, threw gas on the other man and struck a lighter at a distance, said Sheriff's Commander Lester Allen. The victim, who was not identified, backed away, prompting Kim to drop the lighter and pick up a shovel.

The victim fled and called the sheriff's department for help. He was not injured.

Kim, 34, of Melbourne, was booked into Orange County Jail, on an aggravated assault charge.

I had to read the title carefully twice.

The first time I skipped over "fight at" and I had the picture of flaming hippos running around the safari.

For some reason I imagined this thread was going to be about an over zealous Jungle Cruise captain. "Uh oh, they're wiggling their ears! Stand back everyone!!" *splash*

I knew they wanted to change and freshen up the Safaris...but this is just too much. :ROFLOL:

That was my immediate thought as well. Maybe it's just an alternative script to replace the Big Red/Little Red storyline...combined with a little bit of Indiana Jones...

Those 3rd party contractors hire some nice people. At least it was when the park is closed and animals put away. If they would have started a fire it could have been a really huge problem for the park depending how close they were to any plants that could have started a bigger fire.
