I am almost embarrassed to tell you but I am also excited :o! Well we have just booked a 9 night trip in May/June this year as well as our two weeks in October....

We are fortunate enough in the current economic climate to have secure jobs (as far as we know) so we just decided to go for it! You only live once right?!

I could tell my dh was really keen to go as he has agreed to fly indirectly to keep the flight price down!!

Just got to find a good hotel deal now (def. off site).......:sohappy:

Heading for the great escape.
Yes indeed, we took the plunge a couple of week's ago. Who knows what may happen as the year develops but as my grandfather used to say, your a long time dead.

I think you will have established residency at the end of the second trip. At that point you will be eligable to become a citizen of the U.S. of A.. Of course you would then be required to learn how to speak American.:D

Thanks everyone!

I was feeling a bit embarrassed as I had read a few posts from people saying they weren't able to go due to losing jobs, financial problems etc but now I have read your lovely messages I am realising there isn't really any need.

14 weeks to go to number 1 and just me and DH :sohappy: and I can't wait to have some Disney fun with just him (the October one is us plus my parents)...

Hi, another Brit here doing the same. We've just booked a week off-site in April as well as our usual two weeks in late October. We love Epcot so we get to see the Flower and Garden and the Food and Wine festivals.Heaven!Got to make the most of that Annual Pass, that's what I say.
Who knows, if the Interest Rates drop again (and our mortgage with them) we might book a third (na, that would be plain greedy).
Have a great time,
Andy

Congrats! Two trips in one year must be fun. We generally do one big trip per year. We are going in June for two weeks this year. I was worried about the length because I'll be 5 months pregnant then. I also worried if the money we're spending on two weeks could serve a better purpose. However, as others have said, you should just enjoy the moment.

I just book a 5 day stay for 3/7 - 3/11!! Totally unplanned but DS has decided to check out Full Sail U in Winter Park for the Film Program so we have to go check out the campus and see if it is going to be a good fit for him. Well, Winter Park is just 28 miles from WDW, what better place to stay. We managed to get a All Star Family Suite at ASM. This is our first time at the AS resorts. We usually stay at Pop Century. It will be interesting to check out a new resort. This was totally unplanned and I'm kind of in shock as we were just at WDW in Dec. I did the whole room price search for surrounding hotels from the university - you know, getting all the info to convince DH to consider staying at WDW. What a waste of my time, I brought it up and he said, "of course we're staying at WDW" He's totally converted!!!:ROFLOL:
