Rumor Wonders of Life getting an attraction soon?

I’m sure some major interior work is on the table regardless of what may end up inside it, right? Because while a number of other Future World pavilions have/had a timeless look to them, the inside of WoL looks incredibly like a showcase of the late 80s/ early 90s. I know that it’s partly because the pavilion has had very little use in 11 years, but even in its remaining years, updating the color scheme might have helped it a little bit.

The Blue Sky says otherwise...
(for one of the buildings at least, I'm pretty sure it showed the other one as a shop or something)
I believe @marni1971 stated that the blue sky is just one of several possible plans for the spine, and not all of them have Communicore demolished. And they can't make up their mind on which direction to go...

Not sure about your question, but, it has been used for a internal part of the Food and Wine and I believe the Flower Festival, but, not as a general public attraction, just a place to gather.[/QUOT

hey thanks for the reply! I know it’s been used for those events but I was wondering if either of WOL attractions were used after the last public opening.

This thread will be fun to look back on the comments if something gets announced for here next year.

Just because they're prepping it for guest use again doesn't = festival pavilion, nor does it mean = mega E-ticket dark ride coming confirmed!

In fact that's probably the worst spot for a festival center. Put it in the unused Innoventions spaces. At least it'd have a puprose since they can't invest properly in it right now.

This. I figured they'd use either of the Communicore/Innoventions buildings for Festivals, then renovate the main WoL dome, gut out Body Wars and CC, then place new attractions inside.

I don't recall ever hearing about it happening, certainly not for the general public.
I remember when I did the Disney college program in Spring ‘05, WOL was already on seasonal status and the college program welcome party was held inside the dome. The gimmick of the party was “experience 2 attractions that do not exist anymore.” It obviously opened to the public a few more times after that but I guess I was wondering if it was used in a similar capacity to my experience afterwards.

Huh. That's one way to celebrate a college program..

Well, that I wouldn't know. Maybe someone that was a CM there after it closed for the last time can sign on and let all of us know. Sorry, I couldn't help.

In all seriousness, this is what I can see happening to the Pavilion:

Retheme to Inside Out - This would be the perfect spot for an Inside Out pavillion. Imagine the story being that the pavillion is one of Riley’s new core memories (the outside looks like the Joy Memory Ball). And on the inside is an overexagerated version of a fair that Riley went to? Where CC was can obviously still be a brain show, and your inside the Emotions Headquarters. As for Body Wars... A trackless ride? Perhaps a tour of the fair? Anyway, the possibilites are endless for this.

Restoration of WoL - Unfortunately this will probably never happen... But if they did, they could restore CC with a new story, new film, and new animatronics. With Body Wars, maybe the comeback of the dark ride that was supposed to be part of WoL (the one that would’ve taken you through the human body in the form of an omnimover)? I don’t know.

A Guest Area..? - What?! According to insiders, THIS is what Disney is considering?! Sigh. Well, if they go with this, they could probably gut out the massive Body Wars queue and use it as a new Character Spot (since I doubt the current one will survive the overhaul). And perhaps a quick-service restaurant where the WoL dining area was? Maybe bring back Ananomical Players...

Welp. That’s all I got.

this is the parfect placement for an Inside Out integration....especially if they went back to the Wonders of Life hosted by Imside out...and I think most people would agree with that...I think there are plans we don't even know about at this point and for the forseeable future they are just going to keep it as an event and festival space....which is sad.

I think Inside Out also gives them a lot of good options as far as multiple smaller experiences, and not just a single E-ticket. As long as it's something more than the Emotional Whirlwind from DCA.
With that in mind, I could live with a new take on Cranium Command ft. the Emotions, the swings from DCA, and the meet and greets moved into here. That seems easy enough, uses a hot IP, and fits the desire to have family friendly things to do in the area.
