Wonders of Life display removal

Well, the info/news/rumors that have been going around are pretty much confirmed. Among today's Orange County filings is one for "Demolition of bolt in place props and all associated electrical supply". I'm assuming this means all of the Sensory Funhouse displays.

Also interesting to note that the diagram on page 2 showing the area to be worked on (basically the whole building) is labeled "Wonders of Life Food and Wine Modifications" further confirming the reasoning behind the work.

(And before anyone takes the fact that the ENTIRE building is outlined to mean that they're removing Body Wars and Cranium Command, they just about always outline and entire building, even when they're only working on a small part of it)

Also of note:
They're installing surveilance cameras in the queue of Test Track. Easier for the Control Tower to keep an eye on the length of the line, I'd assume.

For all the rumors people throw around in these parts, I'm surprised I never really read any wild ideas on what's going to happen with that pavilion.

Am I just missing those speculations?

I am personally hoping they expand the Space pavillion and incorporate rethemed Body Wars simulators and SFX Theater into a much larger pavillion. On the scale of "The Land" in size and scope. That would be nice:)

Am I alone in thinking that the removal of this pavilion is taking way too long? I didn't *hate* WoL, don't get me wrong, but since it was downgraded to "is-it-open-or-not" status, I've been salivating at the ideas of what might take its place. Maybe they should get the wand demo guys to take a whack at the building during their lunch break

Maybe someone taking pictures of the what used to be the wand can also walk over and take pictures of the WoL tower removal :lookaroun.

I was browsing some of those documents filed. Is it normal for companies to have to put leins on disney for work they do or are they just not being paid fast enough?

This court case was interesting also, i wish you could find out more about why they are filed. look at the signature. was a child involved? can they sign a legal document???

Liens are very common in construction so that does not surprise me, most places have a very short time frame in which you can place a lien on a property for work performed, some as short as 30 days from completion.

Perhaps that signature is not a child but an elderly person??? It is definitely on the weird side to use half a page for a signature though.

Fair enough.

I suppose that's the biggest downside to reading these rumors. You get visions of great rides and attractions in your head, and in the end it just becomes a glorified Marriott Convention Hall.

However I bet the Marriott Convention Hall would be better than the WoL building...

There was a lien on Cindy's castle a while back. Search around on the forum and you'll find the heated debate. :)
