WoM Sea Serpent now in DCA?

I just came across 2 pictures of what I thought looked like the Sea Serpent from WoM. After looking further at their descriptions, I realized they were taken in DCA! Sorry if this is old news, but I thought it was really neat. The EPCOT Center nerd in me just did a cartwheel. :D

For those of you that have been to DCA, could you please tell me what kind of area this reused prop is located?

Here's the pictures I found...

I'm pretty sure that is right near some restrooms and a stage. There are a lot of rather random props around it. The stage is, or at least was this summer, used for a show that had to do with animation. :)
I hope that helps. :)

It was there last October. It's behind the Facade that has a fruit stand.

(If you stand in the right place, you can touch it. I had too. )

I THOUGHT that's what it was when I was there in August. I knew the serpent was somewhere in DCA when I went, I guess it just didn't fully click when I saw it

Thanks for the confirmation

At least it's still around (or was). Question is why is it all the way over on the west coast? Guess they couldn't find a way to fit it into POTC during the 1996 renovation.

Last time I was at DCA it was in front of the Hyperion Theater. It was in with a lot of different props etc. I think it was close to Cruella's trailer.

I posted a thread here about this with few pictures of him a year or so ago. Yes, he's from World of Motion, and sadly he's still there as of Thursday night, rotting away in the hot (okay, not so hot at the moment...but still) California sun. He's located, as some have mentioned, across from Monsters, Inc. and Muppet-Vision, to the right of the stage sometimes used for Drawn to the Magic. I'm always happy to see him there, since I never got to experience World of Motion in person, but saddened because he's been given such a raw deal. Props like that could have resurfaced at the EPCOT's 25th display in Innoventions, or at the very least could have been included in the prop room in the Backlot Tour. Now he just sits there, fading and probably warping. You'd think there would be an attraction he could make an appearance in...Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, perhaps?

That's where I thought would have been a great place for him, but as long as he's being used (and not sold on eBay)... :o

It has been in DCA since Day 1! It started near the restrooms, then when they re-did all of that area they moved it near the Backlot stage. It is a great prop to see back there, but really we are now like 15 years removed from the attraction and other then a few of us Disney geeks no one really cares about it.
