I disagree, Epcot is going through a phase of rebirth and rehab. I mean that they don't want to spend millions of dollars to knock down something that can be redone or made better for less money (This is the cheapskate way of Disney). Horizons has become Mission Space. World of Motion has become Test Track. Communicore has become Innoventions. The Living Seas will become Nemo's Living Seas. Spaceship Earth is going into rehab. The corporation does not want to waste money (in their eyes) to start anew when they already have plenty to work with (and more that is in need of work). The point is that demolition is very unlikely in my eyes when looking at moves made by Disney for its parks in the past 20 years.

Yea but....
1)They DID knock down Horizons. And they don't want to spend money? Mission Space was uber expensive.
2)You can't really seperate Communicore and Innoventions, they're pretty much the same.
3)Test Track was expensive.
4)There wasn't much to change for LS to become its new form.
5)SSE is going into rehab? News to me.

I really hope a family-style pavilion replaces Wonders of Life should it be demolished. Not saying a thrill ride shouldn't be put in, but the WoL "model" is what Future World East really needs.

I would really, really hate to see Cranium Command leave, though. :( Hopefully, WDI is using its sparks of inspiration to create the 21st century family-style pavilion, and is leaving room for Captain Buzzy and his friends.

They had to do that due to the fact that the building was structuraly unstable and a large sinkhole had formed under the building, which would cause it to soon implode.

Not true, Communicore was all connected. Innoventions (First version) was split into three sections. Innoventions (Second Version) became two sections. Innoventions (Latest version) is represented by an all new person.

Test Track was expensive but the building was reused after housing World of Motion. Another saver of space, money and time for Disney.

It does not matter how much change there is now, but how much there will be. There are plans to install new AA's, make new pre and post movies, retheme SeaBase Alpha and ressurect the Seacabs. Not the cheapest thing to do.

Spaceship Earth is growing old, speeding through its sponserships faster than a pod racer (sorry for the Star Wars relation).

Also JIYI has gone through three different rehabs and reshappings in less than 15 years.

What do you think?

What is this giant tarp blocking the entrance?

Welcome, you can only post polls with your own topics. Go to the FAQ for more answers. Body Wars could be updated, more could be installed in the building... need I say more?

Someone mentioned it's probably there to block excess paint spray or something along those lines. I thought maybe it was covering the scaffolding.

my pic (shown above) when i was there, everything seemed to be cleaned up and cleared out, no more overgrown stuff. I have hopes for WoL, from the painting, to the landscaping. I think they might be re-opening it!

Of course theres always... making it look nice... to.... tear it down... but then again its disney. why waste money on making WoL nice when they are going to demolish it?

I think it is getting refurbed, so that the pavilion can aquire a new sponser. Hopefully a new sponser will spend a lot of money on fixing it up, and adding to it.

It doesn't make sense to beautify something, and then demolish it.

And thus were the final words of Horizons... I worry, but I'm hopeful something good will come of this.

I realize I'm in the minority here, but I still like Body Wars and I LOVE Cranium Command.

I do recognize reality, and like Gen. Grizz, I just hope Buzzy can be saved.
