Unfortunately, all the parks are a "Carousel of Progress."
Rides have to change to keep up with the changing times.
The baby-boomers are what Disneyland and World were originally created for, a post World war population of increasing affluence.
Now, everything the baby boomers grew up with is getting older and less visible being replaced by newer
movies, fads and current events.
watching the 1964-65 Worlds Fair get torn down gave me this same feeling.
Disney preserved "Future World" from GM,
"Grand Canyon Dinosaurs" from Ford,
The "Carousel of Progress" from GE,
It's A Small World from Pepsi and
Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln was the Illinois State Pavilion.
But, people are always looking for the next technological advancement to make their visit more exciting,
The Coney Island Cyclone vs. Rockin' Roller Coaster.
Everyone always wants to keep the old rides for nostalgia, Disney's difficulty lies in maintaining
the balance of old vs. new.
PS- hate the "new" Figmund, the old was much better and they should have left Test Track alone!
