Back from getting the kids. Hi to everyone who's still here!
Hi Jenny!
did you have any suggestions. We will have 8 and a 11 month old.
Crystal Palace has always been a favorite of mine. 1900 Park Fare (sp?) is good as well. I think I'd try Le Cellier no matter who was with me...:lookaroun

Most of my sit-down meals are either in Epcot or MK, so I don't really know much about eating at AK or MGM. I thought the drive-in place, the Brown Derby and the 50s Prime Time Cafe were just okay...

EDIT: My two favortie restaurants are definitely Le Cellier and Boma (with France being a close third), but I probably wouldn't suggest Boma for your party. Though I heard the breakfast may be really nice.

Hey Kat - I'm trying Boma in July! :sohappy::sohappy:

Rick - we had the dinner buffet at 1900 Park Fare, and we really liked the food there. They have Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the Stepmother/stepsisters there. And for overall fun, if you don't mind noise is Whispering Canyon cafe - they have pony stick races and the food is :slurp::slurp:

My favorites are LTT dinner and CP dinner. Sooooo good.:slurp:

I am also trying Le Cellier, 1900 Park Fare dinner, and the new AK breakfast this summer.

Pretty good - I don't have to run around in the rain anymore today, so that has me chipper. I just hope the weather doesn't get too bad here tonight. DH is off work tomorrow and we were going to go car shopping.

Yeah, it's raining here too. I just hope it doesn't rain tomorrow (it is supposed to stop by 9am, though).

No way Jenny!
*high five*
I really think you're going to like it. Most of the stuff really isn't that exotic. You MUST try some of the soups... I can't remember which one was my favorite, but there was one I LOVED, and the white bean hummus. :slurp: If you like salmon, and you go on a day they're serving it, you must try it. It's the moistest, best tasting salmon I've ever had. :slurp::slurp:

Jo, I've always thought LTT sounded so... unexciting. The things they serve there, it seems we have all the time at home (and you know there's nothing like a good home cooked meal!) I've never been in my adult life because of that... what makes it so good?

We toyed with idea of a sit down at Tusker in June, but as we are only going to be at AK one day, we didn't want to take extra time at a sit-down. We'll probably go to Pizzafari instead.

Oooh, salmon would be yummy :slurp: - I'll be spending most of the day at a conference over at the Gaylord Palms resort, so I thought I would end the day at Boma. And take tons of pics of the AKL lobby. :D

Well, it's basic meat and potatoes, true, but it tasted yummy to us. I liked they way they announced our table also: 'The Lantz family representing the state of Ohio' (or something like that). And the characters are fun too. :D

we're thinking we don't want to do a character dinner. The last trip we had 2 and was just too much. They are fun, but can be kinda crazy. We are looking for something defintely disney but elegant with that you can only get it here touch.

I bet the character do add a lot to it.

About AKL, depending on when you go, be sure to go outside to one of the animal viewing areas at dusk/night-time. They have free night-vision goggles you can use to see the animals. It's pretty neat.

Hey Jenny... how long have you been a stay-at-home mom?

10 years, 11 mos, 3 days, 20 minutes, 12 seconds...not that I'm counting. :lookaroun

Seriously though, I do love it...I spent three years prior to that trying to start a family and we had some tough times for a while. In fact to be perfectly honest, the only time I have worked outside of the home was one tax season. There are things I wish I had done differently early on in our marriage, but you can't turn back time.

We did the 1900 park fare and it was really cool, just noisy and with this group, probably not the best idea. her Dad likes quiet.

ahh... well, the drive-in place might be neat. I think 1900 Park Fare may have a meal without characters...? I could be wrong though... I heard Cape May's is good too. I really liked the nearby Boardwalk atmosphere too.
For a character dining experience, I remember The Land restaurant being pretty nice though. People really didn't get up and intrude on other people's meeting of the characters. And I think the food was pretty good.

I ate there with my cousin and it was a nice place to eat!
