So am I.
And I'm not saying y'all are old!

I know.

It used to be that a girl would not even consider going into a church without something on her head. It would not be unusual to see a girl with a folded tissued pinned in her hair, if she had nothing better.

I do.
And I can't possible rank them!
They're all special in their own way.
...That last sentence sounded cheesy. :lookaroun
We all know who's number one.
I do like it a lot, if only I could sleep a little later! Yesterday, I almost fell asleep in Chapel.....
Hey! Like, samesies!
We had chapel every Wednesday 4th-8th grade.
Now we have it every day but Wednesday!
:dazzle:
HaHA!
Yes.
I went to Catholic school.
And have the ingrained fear of rulers to prove it.
What?
That I went to Catholic School or that girls had to wear head coverings?
I'm trying to remember when the head covering thing ended.
I don't think it was till I was out of school.
You can pretty much say Vatican II for any change like that.
Chances are, you'd be right.
I know some people who went to a Catholic school, but they never mentioned them.
It's been a few years since that was required.
I'm going back a few years.

:lookaroun

Shut up Connor.

Did it look like a normal veil?

We would wear something like this for First Communion (age 8).

After that, we would remove the crown and wear the veil whenever we went to Church with our class. (On Sundays we would wear hats.)

We also kept these little things called chapel caps for unexpected trips to church during school hours.

I think it took a while for the head covering thing to change.
We stopped having Latin Masses after Vatican II. That was good.

It's been a few years since that was required.

Implication noted.

[Implied insult here]

This one, too.

*sighs*

Thanks for the explanation.

Well, I do, and assume I'm correct.
As always.
Yes. :lookaroun
Walk through a crowd of over-30ishes holding a ruler.
You can tell which ones went to Catholic school. :lookaroun
We also had a blue ones that were a bit shorter for the month of May, which is Mary's month.
Isn't October a Mary month too?

What was that you said about what it means to assume the other day.

:dazzle:
Rulers. Pointers. Well aimed pieces of chalk.
They knew how to hurt you.

Maybe because the head covering was traditional and took a bit to filter out, whereas the whole Latin mass thing was ready to be dropped immediately.

You're probably spot on there. It was ingrained.
But the Latin thing...Oy.
I certainly wasn't sad to see it go.

'kay.

Isn't October a Mary month too?

It is.
I'm not sure what that's about, though.

Hey all.

Worked yesterday.

Worked today.

Working tomorrow.

Working the next day.

...And then I work on homework.

March Break, my ______!

The fact that a year ago today I was taking this picture doesn't ease my longing much. :(

...And this picture, but that's besides the point. :lookaroun
