have i told you my dilemma with aruba? (certainly not a bad one....)

i'm just trying to decide if i want to golf or not... they have two beautiful courses; the nicer is like $170 for 18 holes... the 9 hole course is $125 to play through twice... or $80 to play just 9 holes...

regardless... I'd love to play golf down there, and my only real cost is the $600 flight; then I'll take my folks out to a nice dinner one night, so like another $150 there... and other than that... i don't know... couple pool drinks, breakfast/coffee... but nothing big..

but at the same time, i'm used to paying like $40-50 for a nice round of golf... paying $170 is just absurd...

but its supposed to be a breathtaking course... and... man how nice it'd be to get out there and play...


the other problem is my dad isn't bringing his clubs... he said if the hotel had free club rentals (sometimes timeshares do that i guess... :confused:) he'd play, but otherwise not... and i wouldn't mind playing alone, but they always pair you up and I just don't like playing with random people

i mean it's nice up here on some sunday... meet new people and just hangout... but i'm on vacation... i don't really wanna be forced to spend 5 hours with random people... not to sound the wrong way... but when i play golf i just relax and... enjoy the round... so if i'm with my dad i know we'll enjoy each other's company... but also the course just as much...


so i just don't know if i wanna spend that kinda money on one round of golf ya know...

I understand totally!I think you'll regret it if you don't give it a try though.
Can you call the resort and see if they do rent out clubs?

I feel like I will too... my mom did say she'd try to call the resort and find out... i should call her to see if she has a chance to do that (I don't want to call Aruba from work...... :lookaroun)
