Well for one, my parents are locked into their home there because they cannot get to roads that lead them to their doctors office. My mother has a rare form of cancer and has to take a $700 pill every day for the rest of her life. So excuse me if I think your comments are very barbaric as you have no concern for people in such situations.
While I am sorry for your mother's condition, they did choose to live in that area. No one forced them to live in an area where they cannot get to roads. And that condition is a far cry from fireworks waking you up ONE night. Apples and oranges galore.

what the heck does that have to do with anything? is it now Disney's fault that your parents are locked in their home and did the late testing give your mother cancer? What?

Read back through the comments I quoted to understand the comparison.
I already did. I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill.

I lived 3 miles from an airport for 19 years of my life. I also lived down the street from a major hospital. Sometimes things got loud, sometimes unannounced late at night. It happens. There are things to complain about in this world and this isn't one of them.

Be thankful as a Disney fan you get to live so close to Disney. Not all of us have that luxury.

They were transferred their by their employer.

Well, sounds to me like you should be complaining about the employer, and stop with the apples and oranges comparison to HEA fireworks testing.
Not when it comes with their job. It part of the agreement when they took the job 35 years ago. They couldn't have know back then that today they would be blocked into their home.

And YOU are the one who said you have no sympathy for people who live there, so you carried that on yourself.

Remember when MK used to do Grad nite displays? I believe those were full displays. I believe DL only did low pyro for Grad nite due to pyro rules, correct me if I'm wrong.
I get that people were woken up, annoyed, confused. etc, if they didn't know about it. However IDK If i would go right to the media.

Since the Times Guides for next week aren't out/maybe not even printed yet, Could MK move OUAT to 8:30, Wishes @ 9, Hard close then start on HEA? for the rest of the testing?

Staying on Testing, a small number of vids are on YT now. Looks good! Too bad no music.

So you're still comparing your parents issues with you getting woken up ONE night for fireworks testing?

Wait they are blocked into their home? And I am extremelt sensitive but follow the logic of your s=argument... all of the sudden it is the fact that your mother has cancer and has to take an expensive pill and they are blocked in their home...did Disney put up roadblocks and do a military lockdown? I don't get what you are saying...justlots of excuses why it is so horrible that Disney did their fireworks testing and you are a victim...

Congrats. You have just proved yourself to be probably the most insensitive person on these boards. What an idiot thing to say.

Ha! Obviously you don't know me ;)
It's incredibly sad to hear that about your mother and I hope she does well, but the odd reaction to your statements is based on the fact that you were assimilating fireworks testing to living in a floodplain, and then eventually to your mother's health.

You were inconvenienced for one night. I'm sorry you were...but life goes on.

and bringing up your mother's condition and the cost of her medication is about the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in reference to some fireworks testing that woke up your kids... I won't say it was an idiot thing to say...just crazy.

YOU are all making this larger than what it is. You keep saying "You chose to move there so live with it." But nearby residents didn't CHOOSE to be woken in the middle of the night. I made an opposing post about what you all were saying about the article then you attacked me.

Calling names and indicating fowl language in your post is more rediculous.

Wow... @Bocabear and @LuvtheGoof ...this is pretty low, even for these boards. I'm pretty sure I understand why @raven made that comment, but I won't speak for them. Just very sad that people have to be attacked on here for their opinion. I stated mine, you stated yours, we discuss some and move on with life.

And the whole "snowflake" thing is getting tired, I won't apologize for being a parent who wants what's best for their kids, regardless of the situation (not just this one) or how people like you might view it. Your opinions on parenting and where people choose to live are crossing the line into personal attacks that aren't necessary here.

You did choose to live there...in an area that has nightly fireworks...they were doing testing for a new show, things happened it ran late... What do you want them to do about it to make it up to you?
Let it go and move on with your life...We all get it...it was so traumatic that they practiced the fireworks and woke you up...
and all those residences nearby? they also CHOSE to move near a theme park that has nightly fireworks...So...anyway...
Yeah! Excited to see what the new show will be like!
