Wishes Says GoodBye to Magic Kingdom

No, you are just misunderstanding, this does not mean the Wishes is leaving or that we are getting a new fireworks show. Cinderellabration like CSC features some fireworks, Cinderellabration has more than CSC but it is still just a small part of the show. This does not mean that Wishes is leaving.

With the ammount of money invested in Wishes I seriously doubt it.

Unless they are trying to hide SGE with an even bigger mistake.

I`ve just emailed a tech I know who works on Wishes... lets see.

The article does NOT say Wishes is leaving. It only says the Cinderellabration is coming. The exact wording is:

"At Walt Disney World, two attractions, Soarin and Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show, make thier debuts, as do the music and fireworks show Cinderellabration and the Audio-Animatronics marvel Lucky the Dinosaur".

The problem phrase is "music and fireworks" but it only means that fireworks are part of the show, not that they replace Wishes.

Here is the exact scan of the text. We will not be getting a new fireworks show and Wishes will not be leaving. Cinderellabration is a show that contains some fireworks.

Well... going by the exact wording of the article, sounds like this will only be for Cinderellabration, which would be a good thing. I love Wishes, and have only seen it once... so... it better be back... or ELSE! :fork:

*catches breath* Holy crap, you scared me! Upon further reflection: they really, really promoted Wishes on the 50th planning video, so that's a definate indication it'll be around for the entire celebration--and almost definately much longer. Please be more careful with posting.

I dont think they would be getting rid of Whishes its to popular. It doesnt sound right.

Plus the fact they're still advertising it as "Grand New" and has been running for only 2 years, while RoE has been going for over 5 yrs.

Feels like we dodged the bullet on that one. :lookaroun

I'm glad it was just a misunderstanding. I would have been dissapointed if it really left.

I don't believe Wishes is going anywhere for a while. It is true that DLP is getting a copy of the show in some form because of its success with WDW audiences, but obviously one can not insinuate that means Wishes is going somewhere. Its a fireworks show, not a physical attraction that can be "moved" around so to speak (i.e like the way Lucky is being "moved" from CA to DAK for a short time).

Also, I didn't get my Disney Magazine yet, but from the scan posted above, I also do not see where it says Cinderellabration will include the Lights of Romance. I don't think I've seen anything "official", but most insiders have indicated the LOR that were part of Tokyo's Cinderellbration when it first debuted will not be part of our show.

It may be a fireworks show for the Cinderellabration show itself, but I don't think they would halt the Wishes performances for the duration.

I agree, although I did find this quote from the magazine to be interesting. I wonder hat will happen to everything from the show.

Just to clear this up.

Wishes is not leaving WDW, and will continue to show in the MK at WDW.

Cinderellabration, a stage show from Tokyo, will be appearing at WDW MK.

Disneyland Paris is getting a new firework show, based on Wishes. It will not be an identical show however.

OK, I was about to freak if it were true. Thankfully it's not...and for a good reason, I'm wanting to propose right before it next year sometime, so if it left, new plan for me.

Thanks for clearing up the mishap.

To confirm what Steve said, Wishes at the Magic Kingdom is not going anywhere. Disneyland Paris is getting Wishes but it will be only similar in name and story. From what I was told, the music and product will all be different. I saw there logo for the show last week and it looks entirly different from ours. As for Cinderellabration and Fireworks, they are only going to do a little more pyro that is seen in Cinderella's Surprise Celebration now. No pyro as big as Wishes. Hope that sums it all up.
