Could not agree with you more!:)

Hallowishes was good, but Wishes is just so magical and emotional. It brings tears to my eyes every time I see it!! I could not imagine ending a day at the Magic Kingdom without it.

From Oct 14th until the end of the month. Non party nights will feature HalloWishes instead of regular wishes. There will be no perimeters on non party nights. As always subject to change. This is a change from how it has been done in the past.

Really? They're doing it on non-party nights also this year? Hu. They did the Holiday one post MVMCP last year (we watched it on xmas eve) but HalloWishes used to be party-only, didn't it?

What's the difference between Wishes and Hallowishes? I know Hallowishes is different because they do it around Halloween, but are there any firework type differences?

Different music, more "spooky colors", greens and purples and oranges. Different projections on the castle. A witch flies from the castle and there are perimeter effects (like boo52 has mentioned).

It's all villians and narrated by the "ghost host." It's spooky themed and different color schemes.

There's a video snippit on my MNSSHP page here: http://www.disney.giveneyestosee.com/mnsshp05.html though it's only one segment. I'm sure others have a full video for you as well. (Mine's taken with a dig cam, so it don't expect professional quality! )

It's cute but it's not as "touching" as regular Wishes. It's more fun/silly/lighthearted, you know?

Sorry to bump an older thread, but I wanted to check if what boo52 reported back in June was still the case. I'm going to be heading out there in a couple weekends and wanted to know if we'd get to see Hallowishes on the 14th. Sadly, due to my sister's wedding on the 27th, we can't do MNSSHP this year. I was hoping we'd get to at least see Hallowishes.

Hadn't heard anything more recent, so just wanted to inquire if it's still set to happen. And if so, is it still set for the 14th onward through the end of the month?

Thanks!

Disneyworld.com's calandar reports that it will just be wishes, but we know that can, at times, be less than 100% acurate.

I'm gonna go with what Boo said, he seems to know a thing or two about the Wishes series of shows .

I havn't seen HalloWishes in person, but I have complete video footage of it and it is definitely not as good as Wishes, which I have seen in person. I have the video of Wishes too, and it makes me want to cry just watching it from home. It's a really emotional fireworks show, almost or as much emotional as Illuminations.

Yeah they never tend to be very accurate. It didn't list the Happy Holiday Wishes last year in December either but they showed that every night from like the 20th until the end of the month. The calendar just showed "Wishes" then too. I don't doubt boo's word - I know he's the best resource to ask the question to! - but I just wanted to make sure the plan hadn't changed since the summer.

I saw Hallowishes on Halloween night last year during MNSSHP. While I also prefer regular Wishes, I did think it was fun. And I did enjoy the "This is Halloween" part a lot. It's nice to see it once a year though - feels festive. I live here though so I'm out there regularly, so for me, it's a nice change to see the special edition. Especially since I can't enjoy the Party this year.

We saw both on our trip last week...Hallowishes is cool but if you're counting on Tink make the effort to see Wishes as well. As others have said, nothing beats Wishes for emotional effect.

To correct an earlier post. Hallowishes will be shown instead of Wishes on non partyy nights starting Sunday Oct 15th. The published calendar will not reflect that Hallowishes is being shown.

Wishes is nice.. but I am a big fan of what I call 'Special Wishes'.
Whether its for Halloween, Christmas or the 4th of July.
Standing in the MK and having fireworks go off all around you, never fails to bring a huge smile to my face.

Maybe I am a bit tired of Wishes having seen it a bunch of time since I moved to Florida, I don't always stay to see it. But I always stay to see all the special shows.

I'm excited to hear that they are showing Hallowishes at the end of the month on non-party nights.
Think I will have to make an extra trip to MK in a few weeks. :D

No matter what show you decide they are both spectacular.
We are debating diamond cuts, both shows have the same amount of karets. ;)

Have a good trip!

On our last visit to the world 2 weeks ago we seen both versions...we had always been a fan of wishes and always will be ( very sad since one of the cm's informed us that , that nite show is getting a makeover too, ) but hallowishes .....OMG...it is so amazing...the music is very cool..very different than the normal disney music...but it goes great with the fireworks...really though see both versions if you can...we had gone to MNSSHP for the first time on sept 15 and it rained but we stayed to see everything...fireworks and all...well even before we left the park my husband was already making plans to get tickets for the following friday nite which was also MNSSHP , which was great weather....but see both...the fireworks are breath taking!!!!
