OMG some of you are just TOO funny! I must admit that I laughed really hard reading some of these ridiculous posts! Some of you think you are entitled to everything and you can just take anything you want. It's like you think "Hey if I just rip off the securtiy tag, it's not like it's stealing! hehe* Give me a break....

When you do a yahoo search for images, it brings up the image and the site its from, and it was not WDWMAGIC.com that came up. It was another site.

ok i have to call bull shat.... prove it.... prove how u got this image onto your sight. it will not come up on yahoo... so prove how u found it and STOLE IT!... then later butchered it after confronted about it... it just shows how stubborn u are.

Whenever I see a photo posted here that I really like and would like to use in a screensaver or as wallpaper I PM the photographer and ask permission to use it. I've never been refused.

Have you been the subject of a court ruling? If not, do not assume that what you say is true. You could be sadly mistaken when hauled into court.

It's funny how both pictures have the EXACT same reflection and shadows on the monorail. :rolleyes:

As a mater of fact I have. However I was the plaintiff. Someoen did exactly what I am telling you. They took one of my images that I made for a car club I used to run. They altered it just enough. The judge ruled that the altered image was indeed a "new image" and the copyright was not valid on the "new image".

That was the day I decided that paying money to copyright images was pointless and that I would no longer post pictures or images that I really wanted to keep from being "stolen" as you so well put it.

So I hardly think I am talking out of my rear, and I belive I know what I am talking about.


Have YOU been hauled into court for such a thing?????


If not then YOU need to not assume you know what your talking about.

Do a yahoo search for monorail. I spent 3 days looking over images, and info so if you want to know what wher ein yahoo I found it, look for yourself.

Yes I edited it. that makes it a new image which is no longer the original.


If you don't like it. Then dont look at it.

I am not here to please you or anyone else. No one makes you read anything I post. If you don't like what I say. your free to move to the next thread.


So tell us where you STOLE THIS IMAGE from and then posted your name on it.

Look, there are judges who feel that chaging the image just a little makes it ok, and then there are the others who believe that changing it a little is not ok. It just is luck of the draw on the judge you get. If that lawsuit went to appeals court, another judge could overrule the first judges' ruling. Just because you got sued once and got screwed in the process doesn't mean that you should be bitter about it and then believe that it is right for you to do the exact same thing to other people.

I DID NOT GET SUED. It was the other way around.

And it has nothing to do with being bitter. it has to do with the fact that if it's ok for one person to do it, it's ok for all. Rules are rules and if anyone can bend them, then everyone can bend them.

I am sure that if I had filed an appeal, it would have had the same outcome. The copyright law clearly stated (and states) that a copyright is only good for THE ORIGINAL photo/image. Like I said above about the FORD logo being used on T-shirts saying LORD. Ford Co. filed a suit and lost. the image was changed enought to make it a new original image. You can still find thease shirts being sold.

Sorry, I sometimes get plantiff and defendant mixed up and I know it's a big difference...but it's late here. :D

Anyway, once again...it is still copyright infringement because they took the original image (which was your creation in the lawsuit) and defiled your work. That is what is illegal because it was your work. You have the exclusive rights to it. So if somebody changed it, then they infringed on YOUR EXCLUSIVE rights.

And if rules are rules and if anyone can bend them then everyone can bend them, I guess that's the excuse I should have used when I recieved a speeding ticket a few months ago. "Well, judge, if everyone else around me can speed then why do I have to pay the ticket?"

Once again, I must ask you this question...What do you have against simply ASKING someone if you can use their picture. It would sure save you a heck of a lot of trouble if you simply asked permission and then you wouldn't have to photoshop the darn thing.
