When I was there mid-October, there was a full 'show' to the Rock singing "You're Welcome."

Also, they had a neat animation of shooting lights around the perimeter eaves for one of the songs. Usually those lights just change color in unison or not work at all.

Actually, I just draw the line at fart jokes in general. In any form of media.

I get it, in 1994 it was spunky and irreverent humor for the grunge era. Disney (or any fill in the blank family studio) is so hip and fun! We can even do fart jokes now!

But in 2023? Fart jokes in family movies seem hackneyed and predictable.

And I find them rather low-class in any decade.
I get that it’s not a family film, but your final statement seems a tad strong and inaccurate in view of your repeatedly stated fondness for Blazing Saddles.

There are many, many things I enjoy about Blazing Saddles. But the 60 second long fart jokes 'round the campfire scene is not one of them. Although, in 1974 that was truly unique humor. It might even be the first use of farts in a major motion picture. 🤔 That certainly wasn't a comedy gag I ever remember in 1960's movies, when nudity and sexual frankness were suddenly acceptable. But farts? No. Too gross and tacky.

I get it that I'm in a teeny-tiny minority here, and it isn't the first time pop culture has passed me by, nor will it be the last.

But I put fart jokes, and jokes about pretty much any bodily function a human instinctively hides like menstrual cycles or certain medical conditions, to be in bad taste. To me, it just seems tacky and unnecessary.

And it's also getting rather tired. In '74 it was shockingly new comedy territory, but in '23 its a tired cliche' that the spunky animal sidekick will make fart jokes. Really, you've got nothing else to be witty about?

Is there even a fart joke? It's just a joke that the goat backed up into a wall, finding an opening by accident. He just found it, butt first.
Walt would never approve of a butt joke!

I mean, kids enjoy fart jokes. The odd one (and they’re really not that frequent) is no big deal.

The latest new song released from the Wish soundtrack has the goat making a joke about how his fart gas creates entire gas giant stars.

I give them credit for making the connection to astronomy, and the gaseous wonders that power our universe. But it's not 1994 and I'd hoped they had moved on from the tired trope of fart jokes in children's movies.

Again, there's probably only a dozen Americans left that find farting tacky to use as a movie gag, but that's just me.

Ah, I haven't listened to avoid hearing the music before seeing it next week!

Okay, this is now funny! 🤣

I just Googled, and it turns out the campfire fart scene in Blazing Saddles was in fact the first time flatulence was used in a movie. It was taboo before Blazing Saddles. Ladies were going topless in major movies by '68, but farts were off limits until '74. Leave it to Mel Brooks to break that barrier!

And TV stations in the 70's and 80's edited out the fart noises when Blazing Saddles was aired on TV. Who knew?!

First of all, I want to say that I am very happy that the actors strike is finally over. It's about time! But as we know that Wish just had a premiere at the El Capitan Theatre today and I feel sad for Jazz Smith who won't be able to go the premiere with Ariana DeBose to the premiere due of the strike, even though it did ended today. Here's the video on what I'm talking about:
