The 9-minute short film "Once Upon a Studio" (celebrate Disney's 100th Anniversary) will play before this film.

I'm so nervous for Wish. Disney hasn't done anything done promoting Wish since they reveal a teaser trailer two months ago and showing it on tv during American Idol last month. I hope Disney isn't trying to make it fail like they did with Strange World.

Let's not repeat the "it hasn't been getting advertisement!!" routine that we saw with Elemental. When, in fact, it got lots of advertisement, just not as much way before its release like some wanted.

Strange World was not worthy of anything, they knew it too..........Its a little early yet for Wish, closer to time there should be more. But its true they do a horrible job these days of movie promotion in general so who knows. Look at the new Indiana Jones, hardly seen anything on that and it opens this month.
Back in the 90s there were toys for the movies and cross promotion every where to promote, they dont know how to do that anymore sadly. They just rely on social media which ,,,yeah real exicting, not.

true but the commercials on tv for Elemental are not great, it certainly didnt move me to ever want to see it, not like past pixar movies, I dont know if they have lost their touch or what.

Its still 5 months away from release, you'll start seeing marketing for it later this summer around August I suspect.

This isn't the 90s, how a studio markets a film today is going to be different. Linear TV for example is dying, so a studio will spend less money on TV ads and spend more money on mediums where more eyeballs actually are looking, which happens to be social media these days.

I don't do social media and I've cut cable long ago. I run ad blockers and a VPN. That is probably why I don't see any advertising.

20 minutes of footage from Wish was shown today at the Annecy Festival. Here's an article covering what they saw and the panel with Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios Jennifer Lee.
