Winnie the Pooh Updates

I have to say that I am throughly impressed with this improvement and I think that it is a big step in the right direction. Disney invested a good amount of money into this project when they could have easily left the line the unthemed way that it was. The same number of people would have still ridden the already popular attraction. It is nice to see that they are still surprising us with good show instead of a cutback.

Love everything except the video screens with the honey. This effect has been around for a long time. Isn't it even been in innoventions for how long? I seem to remember there being something in the queue for the house of the future as well as something at one of the entrances. I think the screens are too "technological" to be in the forest setting.

And what is up with that wall still covering up part of the attraction? Im wondering if once they remove that you'll be able to see inside the first room of the attraction?? Hmmm...

I love it! Really looks wonderful, very worth the money spent.

And I actually like the honey screens. Sure its nothing revolutionary but its just a fun quircky addition to the queue.

Very, VERY pleased. Can't wait to see it in person in a few weeks. They really struck a great balance of whimsy and organic design. The fabricated and natural elements work very nicely together so that now this attraction feels much more distinct and at the same time blends better into the Fantasyland aesthetic.

If this is a taste of what we have to look forward to with the overall FLE, then I am very encouraged.

See I look at these and think that it's a great idea. Kids will absolutely love this. I could care less if teh tech is old if it does the job of entertaining.

I think the screens are a lot of fun. It doesn't take away from anything and adds an element of fun. It's something to get people to go "oh cool" rather than completely ignoring the queue like a lot of Guests tend to do.

This new addition is what I admire about Disney; doing things for the sake of being creative and pleasing the Guest.

Disney didn't have to do this, but they did and it should be applauded because it's tasteful and will fit in perfectly with the expansion.

Completely agreed.

A few years or so ago I remember having a discussion on this board about how sad it was that Disneyland's Fantasyland so far outshone ours it wasn't even funny. I am so completely thrilled with how this one came out, one can only hope it makes it's way across Fantasyland's other classic attractions and we can finally be done with the "Medieval" fair poor-excuse for a theme once and for all!

Looks very cool!

Can't wait to see how everything else unfolds over the next little while. Will definitely be a completely new experience when we head back in 2012...going to be great!

yes, I'm very pleased with this. And I do love the honey walls! The whole look to will add so much to the whimsical land. It isn't just a plain old building with an attraction inside, unfortunately like Snow White is

WOW..it's been so long since I was there I don't even remember what the old Queue looked like. I do remember one Early Entry riding it 10 times in a row with my then 6 year old ( he's 16 now).. can't wait to see this live in August!!!

Some quick thoughts from riding this yesterday.

The queue is amazing. There are still a few areas yet to be open, like the Tigger bounce and Rabbit's watering cans, but it is such a well done update already.

Getting my kid to leave the Rabbit's Garden play area was HARD. She could have played there for hours. I'm actually thankful the bouncing area was closed, she would have thrown a fit to be pulled out.

The honey walls are a big hit from what I can see. All kids near us were loving it.

I noticed that they were using potted evergreen trees to block off the unopened areas. I only would imagine those are getting reused somewhere when those areas open.

The lantern lighting looks GREAT at night.

That's a common thing Disney does, use plants to block off areas. They also have hedges that are in wooden boxes with wheels on them so they can position them as needed.

Not sure if anyone had included any photos of the Pooh queue at night, with the lantern lighting. If not:
