Windows Vista Help Please

I use Disney pictures as my screensaver. When I had XP, there was a button you checked to "stretch picture to full screen." Therefore there was not black dead space on either side of the pictures.

Originally with Vista, I had my pictures (screensaver) take up the whole screen. Today I got a new hard drive. Now I cannot remember where I went within Vista to "stretch pictures to full screen."

Can anyone help me, please. I hate the way my pictures look all small as a screensaver. Anyone know where I can have them stretch to fit the entire screen??

Thank you guys.:)

Just messing with you. Could you right mouse click on the screensaver?

BTW...do you prefer Vista over XP? Some do...some don't...just curious.

We have a Windows Vista, and you right click on your sreen, personalize, desktop background, then at the bottom you can choose how you want it to look on the screen.

Ew... apple fanboy :lol::p

Yep...when something works...why change?

Up until a year ago I would never have stepped foot into an apple store. I got fed up with Windows and I haven't looked back. I have had the computer for 11 months now and never once have I needed to reboot or shut down the computer because it froze. The only time I reboot is when I get updates that require to do so in order for the update to take effect.

I guess you could say I'm a NEW fanboy...but only because I have never had a problem with my ipods, iphone, imac, etc.

Apple next time. I already said so. Our Dells have been acting poorly.

I prefer XP b/c I know my way around it. I don't know enough about programs or computers to make a real "thoughtful" response.

Thanks for the help, too, Charlie Brown. But that works only for my desktop, it has no effect on my screensaver.

And it's frustrating b/c I had all my pictures "stretched" before I needed a new hard drive.

haha... Apple fanboys

*stares at Mac Mini and Dell encased Hackintosh*

:lookaroun

I'm a multi OS user...

...but this is a Vista-free household (thank god).

2 leopard machines, 3 XP pro machines (one which was a Vista machine when brand spanking new), and now, an Ubuntu box.

Downgrading is always best :)

unless its apple... then you upgrade 6 months after they release the last upgrade... in case they left a hole.. which is usually fixed in 6 months.

Don't know anything about vista... all 4 computers (3 desktops and my laptop) run xp... even though the lappy is claimed to be vista ready. (like I want to trust that)

I do have a copy of vista in the house (got it for free...) just in case, but I also have access to a XP disk just in case.

I thought you were cool Jerry. Now I can see you're just a Jerk :lookaroun :zipit:

ok ok ok... Ubuntu is cool... but again... their rabid fan base annoys the heck out of me!! Ugh... I cant read a tech blog with out bumping into some fanboy saying Ubuntu is the best thing invented since the horseless carriage! :fork::lol:

Ubuntu is quirky though... it has alllll sorts of driver issues!

Ever try to load up an NVIDIA or ATI graphics card driver in Ubuntu... and not have it fail, dozens & dozens of times??? GRRRrrrRrRRRR!!!

Ugh... it can be a pain at times. Plus the distro names annoy me... "Gutsy Gibbon" WTH?! LOL Stop trying to be cute with the names... :ROFLOL::lookaroun

I just saw an apple commercial that reminded me of this thread

Downgrading to XP: "Upgrading to a more familiar experience"

Oh, so the PC must've been a Hummer...a big ugly box that doesn't perform well at all but all the guys who feel inadequate about themselves get one :lookaroun

no no no... the toyota is a wannabe mac, like the people who buy a Dell and stick their ipods apple sticker over the Dell logo ;)

A true Mac is like a Honda- reliable, but just a little different.
A is like a Mitsubishi- can be reliable, but has a product range that's all over the place.
