That animation looks like horse manure. Grub-hub looking ahh type character design.

I will say Disney is much better at having a "Disney" look in it's animation. Even if it varies, I still feel I'd be able to identify it as Disney even without a logo. I feel early on Pixar had a look, but lately they seem to ape the look of others. In this case, it's Aardman. In other recents, it's Ghibli.

I never saw any Ghibli inspired designs, even if they claimed that Ghibli was the inspiration, like in the case of Luca, the eyes have always looked wrong (not looking like the eyes in Ghibli / anime).

I’m still very much looking forward to this one. I don’t know if it’s going to get any traction and is probably the end of the road for Pixar series… but I’m rooting for it.

I can’t quite recall if that’s a remix of what I saw more than 2 years ago.

What did you all think about the first two episodes?
I was among the first to see them at D23 back in August.

I personally thought it was filled with creative uses and devices of telling stories with cute humor in terms of characters like Sweaty and Will Forte makes a real good coach for the Pickles when voicing Dan.

I look forward to seeing the next 6 episodes (2 each week) over the next few weeks.

I’m very conflicted as to whether I should watch it at all after Disney decided to erase the trans storyline.
Don’t you dare refuse to watch it over that decision.

Pixar didn’t lay off 14% of their workers just to see their work by refused to be watched by a minority that claims they want to be seen in movies, only to see Lightyear and Strange World failing (plus Universal’s Bros failing), Disney losing to DeSantis and being forced to settle with him in court, and Trump being re-elected to show audiences don’t want that.

A minority will always be powerless and no matter what they do, they’ll never matter.

That’s just reality. And we have to live with that now.

People can refuse to watch whatever they want. I have refused to watch certain things for the opposite reasons as the poster you're responding to, but that's their right and it's mine as well.

What is the heck is this? You know I sympathized with you until just now if he doesn’t want to watch the show he is allowed to make that decision for himself he’s got a good reason I myself intend to watch it but what they did was inarguably stupid and weak
Let's not get into the issues here, because the conversation will be deleted by the mods. I would leave off your last bit of commentary there if I were you.

It’s a personal decision. Anyone who knows my posting history knows I don’t want Disney or Pixar to fail. But if I won’t be able to enjoy the show because of certain unwelcome associations it carries for me, I’d rather spend my time doing something else.

Not watching it is the very moderate position. Boycotting all Disney product is a more proportionate response to the depths of Disney’s cowardice and the impact it will have on society.
