Will you use a MagicBand?

With pics now of the new MagicBands coming to the parks real soon, there seems to be a lot of debate over them, and so I was curious what the consensus was on whether you will take/use one when they become available?

I voted maybe. If my RFID AP can do everything a MagicBand can, then no.

If it can't, I'll get on and put it on my belt or something. I have no intention of wearing it on my wrist. I can stand wearing a watch, let alone that.

I have no intention of connecting a credit card to it, though.

Sure, why not? If it means not having to dig out my room key or credit card every time I... Transact... I can deal with that. Easy enough to replace the MagicBand - less so a credit card. It's always on you, so it's hard to lose anyway. Sounds like a win-win all around. Sure there's the privacy issue or being scrutinized for patterns... So? If it improves the experience, I can live with that too. They still can't force me to buy something in a shop.

More than likely. I typically have to keep track of all the tickets for the family and the wrist bands will solve that issue.

I have no problems at all wearing one of these. Collect my data, analyze the heck out of it, I dont care. I wear something on each wrist anyway typically, so this will not be an issue. Bring it on. Heck, I might wear it at home just for the fun of it.

i don't see how rfid is any more intrusive than having a smartphone. I'll definitely be wearing it. I'm excited for all the personal interactions that can happen because of it.

So far it looks like that has changed now.

I'll wear one. My wife won't but that's because she is crazy.

I think I will like the convenience. I am heading to Disneyland next, so when I make it back to WDW in 2014/15 I think they will have most of the kinks worked out.
I like the fact the wristbands has some ventilation, to help it from getting too sweaty. A plus in my book.

I mainly do day trips, so I don't think that they would be available to me... Though when we do stay overnight and do more than one park, then perhaps.

I don't understand, disney going back to wristbands when every other amusement or theme park has essentially gotten rid of them not to mention the ugly tan lines these are going to leave behind.

A CM told me that all the APs will get switched over to it, but I'm hoping we will have the option of using a card.

If I can keep it in my pocket I will have one. Can't take things on the wrist. Sweating in the parks is bad enough, let alone something else on the body. Not against them, just never going to wear them.

I would think a wristband in your pocket is going to be more uncomfortable than wearing it!

I was really against them until I learned they will be adjustable and removable. Now I'm only mildly against them.

Not if they are bendable. I'll do anything not to have it on the wrist.
