Will Universal Orlando ever get Transformers?

I don't know about you guys, but the roboarm technology with HD 3D projectors featuring Transformers gets me as giddy as a school girl. That ride could be totally insane. It sounds like Universal Hollywood is going to get this after Singapore. I wonder if it will make it to Orlando? Seems like a no-brainer, even with Harry Potter using the same tech at IOA. Let's hope!

It could be one of those Dinosaur/Indiana Jones things. Same technology, different themes, so only one to each resort...just a thought.

Is Transformers going to use the Kuka robot arm on a coaster track system? I believe the latest rumors indicate as such.

I believe Trasformers is going to be a combination of spiderman and harry potter... using the robot arms for moving other things... while being seated in a motion base similar to Spiderman / Darkastle. One thing to remember, Universal only has one empty plot of land to buld from scratch, and this attraction will use a lot of fire, hence the use of the backdraft soundstages in hollywood since they were rebuilt to handle the fire effects in there currently.

I've heard a rumor from a source inside Universal that we will be getting a Transformers attraction, but not the same one. Apparently ours is going to be a 3-D movie to replace Terminator, but it will feature a giant robotic arm coming out of the screen and interacting with the front row.

I really hope that is true... :)

I know it is a bit dated in parts, but I think T2 is the best attraction in the park and is the biggest reason for my to walk over from IOA on my trips to UO. And because of the Super Bowl ticket, I'll be going this year for the first time in about 5 or 6 years. It just won't be right without Back to the Future, but at least I'll get to see T2 a couple of times.

I agree i think T2-3D is one of the best in the park, and with T4 coming out in cienmas soon i can't see it being replaced.
