Will Soarin' ever get it's own entrance?

Okay, so, right now, the entrance to Soarin' is in The Land, but everytime I've ridden it, I've noticed that The Land is PACKED with people, all because of Soarin'! It doesn't bother me THAT much, I mean...it's a great ride, but I was just asking!

They want people to go into The Land pavilion. And Soarin' has made this possible. The entrance will never change in my opinion. What I would like to see is the wait time posted at the entrance of the pavilion, it is such a long walk inside just to see how long it is.

Soarin will never get it's own entrace.. Just like Body wars won't get it's own entrance, the aquarium at the living seas won't, the image works won't, el rio de tiempo won't.. etc... they are part of those pavillions, no reason to build a new entrance

I think that Budget had something more to do with Soarin' not having it's own entrance. There is enough room between the Land and Imaganation for an entrance, but it would have required a facade, which is not cheep.

I would like it if they would move the Fastpass Distribution to a Kiosk outside, along with another Stand-by Wait indicator.

I don't think it's so much the Land, as before Soarin', the Land was the 2nd most visited pavilion in Epcot. Soarin' has probally pushed it to #1, but it was doing just fine before then.

I doubt the FastPass machines would be moved outside. The whole reason for redoing the interior of The Land was to draw people in with Soarin' and have them wait out their FastPass time by eating at the food court and doing the other attractions within the pavilion.

But I do agree that the time signs posted at the entrance to Soarin' should be duplicated somewhere outside the front entrance to The Land. It'd be nice to know what the standby time currently is, as well as what time frame the FastPass machines are currently giving tickets for. At least they put a sign out front when all the FastPass tickets are gone for the day.

I think the current set up is the best thing Disney could have done. Having the entrance where it is not only brings more people into The Land and its attractions, but I would be willing to bet that without the Soarin' entrance placement, Sunshine Seasons would be a ghost town.

Disney put it right where they wanted it. It revitalized the Land Pavillion and has made it a destination.

I don't know about a "ghost town," but I'm sure being so close to an e-ticket ride results in it being more packed

I agree that a sign with the fastpass distrbution times should be put outside of The Land. But the stand by time is already posted on the electronic wait time board in Innoventions Plaza.

You can avoid that by checking the marquee board over by Innovations. Wait times are posted for the major attractions like Soarin', Test Track, and Mission Space.

Well, actually the aquarium at the living seas and image works do have their own entrance. It's just call "the Exit".

I didn't say it would happen, just that it would be nice. :D

Has it always been possible to enter the seas via the exit doors? Meaning, prior to construction?
No, there were "Hydralators" that prevented that. You could get into a hydrolator that was exiting, but you would have been breaking the rules and ruining the illusion.

No one was there to stop you from doing it. I did it a few times.
But you ruined the Magic .

True nobody was there, but it wasn't an open entrance/exit like it is now. You aren't supposed to go in that way, imageworks is desinged so you can enter from either end.

I wish there were a better way to get a FP for Soarin' then the current setup. You have to trudge up hill, into the pavillion, down one of the flights of stairs, back to the corner, in the room .... and then reverse it all just to head out. It's quite a lengthy process just to pick up one FastPass. By the time you've walked alllllll the way in there also, it stinks to discover the return time is four hours later. :brick:

I'm not going to eat in the Land so going through there is not a "draw" for me. It's just needlessly suck off in the back. Which, frankly, kinda stinks. :/

Soarin` wont get it`s own entrance without some major building; between the link corridor and onstage is the west front service and delivery road for The Land pavilion.

I agree. Just from a personal convenience sake, it would be nice to have Soarin's wait times posted at the entrance to the pavilion with perhaps a few FP machines. I understand the thought process behind not doing that though....they want people to come into the pavilion, get a FP, sit and eat/drink at the food court or ride Living with the Land as they wait. However, each time I want to ride Soarin', that isn't my plan.

However, many have lamented the loss of the so-called traditional "EPCOT Pavilion" where the pavilion is more than a simply building for a ride (like MS or TT). Soarin' turned The Land into the perfect example of such a pavilion. Soarin' keeps the pavilion busy, and I think that was the intention.

Exactly!
