Will Harmonious Survive?

ROE? I keep thinking return on equity. I assume you mean Illuminations? If so I had made my peace with it going. Loved it but I'm good with change if change is good. I was never able to visit while Epoct Forever ran but I found that one way better than Harmonious. It's not a great show. We get bored with it and the barges are seriously unforgivable. Not well thought out. If they blew up the barges and brought Epcot Forever back I'd be happy
Personally I love HarmonioUS. I love most things new at EPCOT. I feel like I might be on a hitlist for the older folk here but I'm enjoying it all rn.

My comment that I made when I resurrected a thread from February wasn't really to also resurrect a discussion about whether or not people like HarmoniUS. What I wanted to know is what holds this show together. What's the story? To me, it seemed just like a very loose montage of Disney songs. I'm sure there must be something that I'm missing.

I mean the title of the thread is questioning if HarmonioUS can maintain its existence. Don't people have to have opinions on it to determine the length of its existence? That discussion ain't as irrelevant as you're making it out to be.

Also not every show needs some super deep story. Illuminations was made better by that but shows don't require it. Both shows are still inspiring to me. They both spread similar messages to me. I think HarmonioUS will last as long as Disney wants it to and if people don't like it (which not everyone hates it), then they'll make changes through the years until they're able to perfect it. That's what they did with Illuminations, no?

I watched a couple more viewings of it on YouTube this weekend. You still get that feeling of different cultures but one world with the songs being sung in their native language. And most people probably know the songs regardless of language by the music. Can't wait to see it in person.

Fair enough. I just felt like the like/dislike discussion had been beaten to death, and I was hoping for a slightly different angle on the discussion.

If I'm being completely honest, I think part of my issue with HarmoniUS is that I *really* liked Illuminations. My day at Epcot started with Spaceship Earth and ended with Reflections of Earth. I really liked that the park celebrated human achievement and potential. Of course, the park is changing . . .

Like you said, perhaps I just need to give the show more time to develop.

The best part about this fireworks show and the previous one is that you can head to the bus and get on while they were/are going on. I didn't care for either show.

that's what I usually use the MK shows for. Not leaving but power walk rides. My son and I hit Pirates, Thunder, mansion, speedway and buzz once. It's was great.
