Next Phase is DVC'ing the FW Campsites (tent not included).
AoA has already been pointed out.Disney hasn't built a new resort since 2003 I don't see them building a resort any time soon. Their cash cow now is DVC sad but true
That’s what Riviera was supposed to be and look how that turned out.I could see Disney offering more 'value' options to DVC with more affordable options at existing value resorts. (might be a stretch)
I do see them building another premium resort near MK tho eventually.
That was never the intention though, despite people claiming it was. That’s what Riviera was supposed to be and look how that turned out.
It's all about DVC these days. They just completely the Polyday Inn. Now it's the new DVC lodge near Wilderness Lodge.I'm really curious about whether we'll ever see new Moderate or Value Resorts in the future. It feels like all the new constructions at Disney are focused on DVC resorts, which makes sense given the demand and profitability, but I can't help but wonder when we'll get some fresh options for those of us who love the Value and Moderate categories. What do you all think?
What are you talking about? Every Disney approved media vlogger says they love it!That was never the intention though, despite people claiming it was.
Now the Cabins at FW absolutely have turned out to be just that, and it’s been an abject failure.
For us DVC is the deluxe resort at moderate prices (once you go enough to make up for the upfront cost of course). With a bigger family there are fewer Disney options as well so the DVC approach comes in handy.Ive never seen the value in buying into the DVC. The way we vacation and book trips Ive looked at the promotions, figured out the pay outs and it never gives me any advantage or savings. My sister and her husband have bought into the DVC and comparing the many spent over time on both our trips we come out ahead by quite a bit. As long as Disney gets people in and keeps padding the profits there's no reason to alter their plans.
I believe Riviera Resort also opened in 2019. And, while not Disney owned, the Swan Reserve opened in 2021.AoA has already been pointed out.
Gran Destino Tower opened in 2019 and is part of a a Moderate resort.
The new Lakeside resort (formerly Reflections) will have both regular and DVC rooms. Albeit not moderate.
Yes but the discussion was about non DVC resorts. Riviera is DVC, Swan & Dolphin are not Disney resorts.I believe Riviera Resort also opened in 2019. And, while not Disney owned, the Swan Reserve opened in 2021.
