I still don't see what the problem is here. Okay, we can argue that prices for value and moderate rooms are too high, but that's a separate issue. The fact is, though, that Disney isn't building value and moderate resorts because they don't need to. There is no demand for rooms that is not being filled by what they already have. Even AoA wasn't built because they needed a bunch more value rooms. It was built because they needed more family suites. Which they now have.
They are building DVC resorts because there is still demand for that. They are selling the inventory. I know people here love to hate on Disney's business decisions, but this one really does make perfect sense.
