For us, the wait time on the bus transportation was the rule, not the exception......in every stay. At each marker for each bus stop, it has a little sign saying they come around every 20 minutes or so. I've never found that to be true, it's always been a bit longer.

That's true, the only flaw of the otherwise magnificent WL is a sometimes less than sub-par bus service. Sorry to say that but when we stayed there we had quite some delays so don't plan your shedule to tight, you could lose a lot of time waiting for the buses.

Love WL .. great value as far as the deluxe's go. We enjoy the fact that there are a lot of walking areas around the resort. Take some pennies to through in the babbling brook .. take even more if you have kids ;) Ask at the front desk about all of the kid related activities - normally they will provide that info in your welcome packet.

Funnily enough, we had very mediocre experiences at both of the dining options. Artist Pointe was very average in our families opinion, maybe they just had an off night. They went so far as to comp our meal and give us free refill mugs - the manager was apologetic about the food and the service. Much the same with WCC, just not that good for the price we paid - we're not overly picky either, I just expected more *shrugs*. In contract, AKL has the best dining that I've had at WDW, with Jiko, Sanaa and Boma. To each his own I guess.

The buses were an issue for us as well, somewhat. Very hit or miss .. last time we were there over New Years and the wait times were all over the place, mostly long waits though. My experience is that it largely depends on season, day of the week, weather, time of day, etc .. hopefully you'll get lucky.

Two minor blemishes though - everything else was top notch.

Agree with Glasgow on Artist Point. We've been to WL many, many times and are DVC members- it's our home resort. We never ate at Artist Point until our last trip as we aren't big foodies, but it really wasn't that great. Not bad at all, just not great. Now Boma and Jiko- worth it and fantastic!! Service is also better. The waiter we had at Artist Point spent most of his time b.s ing with the folks at the table behind us. He seemed annoyed when he left the table to go to any other.
WCC, we love it but the portions are just enormous. Oddly, my favorite thing to eat at WL is the chili at Roaring Fork with a cold beer.
Buses- sometimes we get lucky and they show right up but the thing I don't get is how you can end up with three to one park before you see one for the park you are waiting for. This happens at least once a trip.
Everything else there at WL is PERFECT!!

Darn! I was hoping you were referring to a screen which has live updates for bus arrival times. . . I've heard the South depot of POR has those, and perhaps a few other resorts.

Buses being the way they are, WL could certainly use one of those.

The bus system is not great, where ever you stay. WL bus system needs tweaking for sure. Aside from that, it is an excellent place to stay and relax. YOu can get a way from the hubbub of teh parks and just chill out. We susally request an inner courtyard view ground floor room, and get it. Its awesome to sit on the patio outside your room, amongst the trees and waterfall drinking a beer or sipping some bourbon. Great way to relax.
