I realize you've already made the decision to go to WL and you've made the right decision.
It's been our favorite Disney hotel since we first visited there back in 1996.
All three restaurants are great. Heck the pool bar has good hot dogs and beer!
I've stayed at GF and Contemporary. The theming here is superb, as is the service.
My only complaint is transportation.
The problem with the bus is not that they don't come often enough, it's where they go after they stop here. Some of them head to Ft. Wilderness. and getting in and out of that place takes an eternity. And at least last summer, when we went to Ft. Wilderness, we didn't come back out near TTC to head for AK, we headed out toward Bonnett Creek, and Downtown Disney and then all the way across past MGM entrance. Maybe this was faster, but it sure didn't seem like it.
Also, the last couple of times we've been, the boat leaves WL and heads to Ft. Wilderness before going to MK. I read somewhere above that WL is now getting priority again, which is what it had for years.
But frankly, I still think this is the place to be. You'll have a blast.
