Wilderness Lodge Dinner

Hi, Everyone

My wife and I are going to do a cariage ride over at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and had a few qeustions.

1. Would you prefer Trails End Resturant at Fort Wilderness or better to go to the whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge.

2. If we go to Whispering Canyon Cafe is there a bus or boat that goes to Wilderness Lodge so we can have dinner after the cariage ride.

I haven't eaten at either of the restaurant's to answer that part of the question but there is a boat that runs between Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge.

It runs every 20 mins or so and loops Fort Wilderness, The Contemporary and Wilderness lodge. It's a pleasant journey as long as the weathers good.

I would recommend Whispering Canyon Cafe it is a really great all-around restaurant and you can get to Wilderness Lodge from Fort Wilderness by boat. Hope this helps and have fun! :wave:

If you just want a good, quiet reasonably priced dinner then Trails End would be your choice. If you want a slightly better dinner with a good bit of fun then WCC should be your choice.

I personally think that Trails End is one of Disney's best kept secrets. Fort Wilderness is a beautiful campground and the restaurant is in a nice area right by the water. The food might not be gourmet, and you won't get the gigantic selection that you do at many other Disney buffets...but the options are still numerous and delicious.

There are hundreds of posts and reviews here about Whispering Canyon, so I don't need to elaborate here. It is definitely a lot of fun, and the food is pretty good too (IMO it is no better than Trails End). However, you have to decide on the type of meal that you would like. If you are aiming for something more relaxed go with Trail's End. Fun and exciting, head to WCC.

From where you are going to be for the carriage ride, if you choose to go to WCC, just hop on the boat to the Lodge.

We like both and as said before depends on what you are looking for. Trails end is buffet and rustic, just a great down home feel. Whispering Cayons is great also becasue of the large lodge feel, rustic, but can get rowdy and a little loud.

I would recommend Whispering Canyon - it's great! :slurp:

Whispering Canyon Cafe' is actually inside the Wilderness Lodge.
There are buses that run from the Wilderness Lodge to Ft. Wilderness & vice versa.
There is also a boat ride that you can take from the Wilderness Lodge to Ft. Wilderness & vice versa.
