It has always seemed strange to me that the Magic Kingdom has no type of ride based only on Mickey. Peter Pan, Pooh, Snow White, Alice (tea cups ) Goofy (barnstormer) all have rides based on them and yet Mickey the most important one does not. I know they have shows, castle party and phiharmagic but I think they could replace snow white with a mickey and minnie ride

I'd say the main reason is probably because Mickey doesn't really have one defining story or movie in his history that would serve as a solid basis for a ride. Since Mickey started in cartoon shorts most everything he was in elapsed over 10 minutes, so any ride or show that tried to combine it would feel disjointed and restrictive. Not pinning Mickey down to one attraction allows him to have a bigger presence at the park that goes beyond a roller coaster, dark ride or show.

Mickey doesn't need to do anything, because he owns the place. His face is plastered everywhere in the parks so he doesn't need an attraction.

Mickey has no time for a ride. He's too busy doing his magic all over the resort. He can't be everywhere at one time.:animwink:

Pal Mickey had a joke he told - something about the Castle - and after the joke, he mentioned in a really bummed out tone of voice that he didn't have a castle! Not quite the same thing, but the topic just reminded me of it. :animwink:

Heres an Idea, what if they took a single animation short and build a ride out of it? DCA is doing it with Silly Symphony Swings. A better idea would be to make some kind of ride that could be interchangeable with different stories so it wouldnt be just one story over and over but would change every now and then so its a different experience.

Possible but I dont see it happening at all since Fantasyland is about to turn into a giant construction zone anddoesnt look like anything for Mickey would fit in anywhere in the plans. Just a concept though.

could make a dark ride going through the history of mickey mouse up until today and climax showing what disney company Has become. Just a thought.

^If I were an arguing man, I'd say that's more about Donald than anyone.

There was a ride planned for Dumbo's Circusland in DLR that was called Mickey's Mad House. It was supposed to be based on the Mickey Mouse cartoons of the 1930s. As with the rest of Circusland, though, it wasn't built due to efforts being put into Epcot and Tokyo Disneyland.

But it has been talked about.
