Why do people hate Dueling Dragons?

There is never a line and people always bad mouth the ride. I think it's brilliant and two great rides. (It sucks that the guest ruined it for us all last summer by not taking off his flip flops.)

IMO Spiderman is the most overrated ride ever. It's a dusty screen that has the worst HD I've ever seen and still looks standard definition, and sprays water on you while you spin in a circle. The Mummy sh*ts on Spiderman! lol

But I don't know, why do people hate Deuling Dragons? It is a great ride!

What about the guy with flip flops?
I personally find it as my favorite ride, even though i've only been on the Hungarian Horntail side. I had no idea it was disliked by the majority of the public.

Yea, there is never a line. Download the wait time app and look at the wait anytime of day, it won't be long.

The guy had to have his eye taken out in the park, by the medical team who arrived at the park. Now, Universal is facing a law suit so they announced that they'll never run the ride dueling again. This was all in the Orlando sentinal last year.

I think part of the reason there's never a long line is that the queue area for it is approximately the length of EPCOT. You spend all your time walking through it that you would have been waiting. By the time you get to the end, the line is gone.

I haven't been since it was changed to Dragon Challenge, but I love it before. It had one of the best queues I have ever walked through.

My coaster-enthusiast side says that the two coasters are fun.
My theme-park side says that after the queue they're pretty much a bare, un-themed coasters once they leave the station. (I have the same feelings about Hulk, too)

Don't even get me started on HRRR...

Years ago Dueling Dragoons often had a long line. DS and I always enjoyed the ride but I'm getting too old. It now hurts to ride Dragon's Challenge. I guess my days of riding it 10 times in a row are a thing of the past.

I liked it better before, when you went right at the other coaster. It's still good. I don't know why it isn't more popular.

I also really like Spider-Man.

The new changes to Spiderman suck. It still looks bad, like it wasn't made HD. The ride sucks anyway. Dusty screen that shoots water at you while the ride spins. Boring.

i LOVE the dragons. it's mine and my dads favourite ride.
it's just a shame they had to potterise it and no longer run it dueling, but nevermind. it's still awesome.

I love the Dragons. Both sides. And the main reason that there is never a line is the ride is a people eater. With 2 coasters, both running multiple trains, it has the highest capacity of any coaster out there.

And I could NOT disagree with you more strongly. I think that Spiderman is one of the best rides on the planet and the HD upgrade is fantastic. You can now even see the stitching in Spiderman's outfit.

You mean the Spider-Man that was voted Best Attraction 4 times by Theme Park Insider? The Spider-Man that was voted Best Attraction by TEA? A winner of multiple Golden Ticket awards? That Spider-Man? (I could go on but won't.)

Don't know anyone who doesn't like Dragons either. Lack of (long lines) do not equate popularity on any given day. We ride each visit. Whilst we still can.

Spiderman is one of the best rides in the world. The upgrade made the ride so much clearer. If you don't like it, that's your preference. Obviously the majority of people do or it wouldnt be the award winning super popular attraction it is.
(As for the Mummy...LOVE it! It could use some upgrades and some new effects though)

And as for the Dragons...the waits are always 10-25 minutes, but as others have said, that's because of the super long queue line and running at least two trains on each track. It gobbles up the line!
What happened with the 'accident' on dragons was thought to be someone throwing objects from one of the trains as it passed by the other. One guest was severely injured and lost his eye, I heard a week or two later, a similar thing happened and a few guests came off with huge bruise marks on their faces, arms, legs, etc. After this string of incidents, Universal decided it was best to run the trains separately, so they wouldn't have to worry about this happening again.

All it takes is one jerk to ruin it for everyone.
