Star Tours demonstrates what I'm thinking regarding GE. It's all over the place with the timeline and characters and places from all the trilogies. It makes no sense as a unified story. But it's fast, fun, hits the Star Wars beats and I don't care that it's a mess.

@el_super - This is an honest question: Are you related to anyone who worked on SW:GE? It seems that sometimes there might be an agenda to defend everything about their work here.

No. Just irritated at the idea that fans try to dismiss actual critical thought in order to just elevate their own subjective opinions and push their own agendas. I don't think there's any reason to believe the original article posted here is wrong.

That is because the Star Speeder 1000 has a Flux Capacitor.

Yeah I don’t really care about the timelines I just think the original Star Tours was a better experience start to finish. It had a better Flo’s obviously as randomized scenes weren’t being put together.

Have you been on the Ep 9 iteration of Star Tours? That version was pretty damn good.

So youre suggesting that in a franchise so defined by war that its in the title, they just not show it and pretend it didn't happen?
War Torn planets didn't happen in Star Wars. Batuu as designed is fake Star Wars. We don't have to "pretend it didn't happen?" Where did it happen? Batuu isn't featured in any Star Wars movie.

Oh, so you want it "pretend" it did happen. I see how the game is played. Imagine a Star Wars that everyone knows about. Maybe they should try to film it so they can see it as a fact.

Yup, on my trip last February before the 'Rona hit. It was good. I actually thought most of the ST stuff added to Star Tours has been entertaining.

If you really want to go on believing that STAR WARS is really just STAR PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION go right ahead.

It's an easy fix imho. Bring in classic characters, make MF target run fight in a space battle and get Darth Vader into ROTR.

Bingo!

If they can no longer afford to staff the professional actors they originally said the land would be populated with (roaming droids, bounty hunters, villains & heroes, stuntmen), then the least they could do is invest the money to add those three elements you listed above.

And if they added/changed the two attractions in that way, it would be a permanent fixture of the land and not subject to the budgetary whims du jour where entertainment staffing is cut or removed from fiscal year to fiscal year.

They added three Johnny Depp animatronics to Pirates of the Caribbean, and now the whole Jack Sparrow thing is no longer dependent on staffing an AGVA performer seven days per week. Jack Sparrow exists in the New Orleans Square universe without this expensive union labor looking bad on a TDA spreadsheet.

The question of whether he looks bad or good wandering around New Orleans Square is another matter.

1. Mandalorian - Helmets on a stick. Where's the war torn city?
2. Hoth - Battle is in the snow. Where's the war torn city?
3. Endor - Battle is in the forest. Where's the war torn city?

Here's some more to keep you going.

1. Fight at the Naboo Palace.
2. Battle at Naboo grass fields.
3. Victory parade at Naboo palace. Very much back to normal.

What war happened at Batuu? Is there any evidence that the ""battle scars"" aren't from smuggler shootouts or from the city portion being 100+ years old?
