Why did we never get the Indiana Jones Adventure?

Other than its brief craziness after the Capt Jack update, PotC has never been a MK rope drop destination.
In DL, Indy is a big rope-drop destination.

Even their POTC is more of a rope-drop Pirates then MK's.

I'm just shocked at how popular Indy is at DL and it has never found a home at WDW. Though I say that, and there are probably a dozen of hugely popular attractions at WDW that aren't at DL.

Curious, is MK's big rope drop Splash, Space, and Peter Pan?

We're not talking about a new Indy ride, we're talking about the Indiana Jones Adventure as stated in this thread title.

Thought a new ride would also work in ALand. :D
Oh, I know.

It's a theme park. It fits the theme.

End of story.
 Dismissive, much?

If the theme of Disneyland (PHILOSOPHICALLY SPEAKING) is Disney in the different genres of Adventure, Tomorrow, Fantasy and the like, then something NONDisney does not fit.

However...because it is themed so well, and matches he genre, it DOES fit. It still isn't Disney, though...in a DISNEYland.

Still...not what we are talking about here.:brick:

It's a theme park. No philosophy needed other than to have fun, and pump out the best attractions they possibly can.

If you are 6 Flags.

Disney is different. There is a set of rules and traditions that they apply to. There are boundaries and a certain way of things. Otherwise, you get a mess.

The only reason it works in DL is becuase it's themed to the hilt.

Why wouldn't a WDW version be themed well, too?

And you think a MK Indy wouldn't be?
With the TDO Budget cuts of today....:lookaroun:lol:

Seriously, though, I would want it in the Studios becuase it would be DIFFERENT there. They could change up the queue to ake it more like a movie is being filed on location, and above all...Studios needs it.:dazzle:

No. The last thing the Studios needs is another E-ticket attraction.

That's an especially dark way of putting it, Disneyland is Walt's Park, but it was never about DISNEY STORIES ONLY. To say that is most egotistical, and Walt never laid that "Philosophy" that Disneyland is only for Disney you speak of.

To all who come to this happy place, welcome. Disneyland is Your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savior the promise and challenge of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that created America, with the hope that it will be a source of joy, and inspiration, to all the world.

That's what was dedicated on July 17th, 1955, and that's why everythhing is welcome...Because Disneyland is YOUR land. Not Disney's. And for me, the Temple of the Forbidden Eye...Haunted Mansion Holiday...all take me back to that first magical visit to Walt's park. Disneyland is about Adventure, Fantasy, Tomorrow, the past...and in it should always be the adventures and stories that are a part of our culture, part of what makes the ideas so relvent today.

The idea that stuff like Indy, only works because it's themed good is one I'd quickly abandon, because it's belittling an essential part of the magic that is Disneyland.

Yea, but another 2 hour line isn't it. They've already got TSM, ToT, and RnRC, not to mention Star Tours is going to be awesome.

It needs smaller draws to fill the park out.

Besides, the show is still full every show.
Hell, the place needs a DCA-esque overhaul according to our most recent poll...:lookaroun:lol: It'll be fine!

I think Animal Kingdom needs it more then Hollywood studios does. there is not much there that keeps people intrested very long.
