Who/What was the last truly evil Disney Villian?

Frollo was the most evil villian ever. Like Dr.Seeker said, his actions are the darkest forms of trechery ever brought out in a Disney movie. He kills Quasi's mother, tries to kill Quasi twice, lets the Parisians humiliate Quasi, calls for a witch burning, lusts after the female lead, and raised Quasi to feel as if he were the ugliest human being on the planet. Despite Scar killing Mufassa, which was plenty evil, it still wasn't the most evil action for a Disney movie. I think song, Hellfire exemplifies Disney evilness.

I liked Clayton the most though.

They did Hamlet...

Yea...but can you imagine a version of Macbeth...essentially a story where the main character is a villain...How would the animators, writers pull it off and still make it a family movie, without losing the great themes of the original story...now thats a great challenge for Disney...The question arrises though...should it be with animals or humans?

I don't think a family version of it could be done. It would be too confusing for the children seeing the story has no true hero. I would love to see it done with a pack of wolves, much like the Lion King. But it would be too difficult to lighten the mood.

I want to see them do a version of Lord of the Flies though. Shakespeare... Comedy of Errors.

Wolves would be great...that would fit in quite nicely....but I think it CAN be done...look how they made Hamlet into Lion King....but then again I see your point about the kids being confused....

So many stories out there and Disney comes up with Home on the Range!!!

And Chicken Little? What the heck is that?

I'm sorry... Walt said it himself.

"Nobody loves a chicken."

CHicken little looks funny. And the Incredables looks great. Home on the Range was the first Disney animated feature I was truly disappointed with. Lucky was the best part of that whole movie!

Anyway - I'm going to state my case for Rourch in Atlantis. The guy was willing to wipe out an entire civilization and, in Milo's words "sell it to the kaiser"!

To add my 2 cents, I love Hades. He's hilarious and pretty sinister, but that's the extent of it. Scar definitely was evil so I could say that for animated. For live-action, I like the idea of Captain Barbossa, but Glenn Close's "Cruela" was pretty evil as well.

My all-time favorites definitely include Maleficent and Lady Tremaine...hmm, both characters voiced by the same person. Coincidence? Hmm...

I gotta go with Frollo. Everything he did was laced with pure malice. Along with all the reasons others have mentioned, he did it supposedly in the name of his religion. To twist around beliefs as an excuse for murder is just disgusting, and that makes him the most villainous to me.
