I remember a few years ago when a pandemic of the bird flu was considered "imminent". And we all know how that turned out. 36,000 people a year die of the regular flu, and people are panicking now because a handful of people have croaked from this thing. Pish posh.

Not to diminish those who have died, but honestly, the media is doing their best to scare the heck out of everyone. The greater threat is the chaos that can be caused if people start to freak and buy up all the water in the grocery store...panic spreads faster than viruses these days...
