My family loves it...but of course we are Premium AP holders who get in with our pass...and because we live only a couple hours away we are there at WDW quite a lot.

not really worth it. i was not that great 5 years ago. kinda shocked its still
hanging around. if you can get in free or discounted its a good way to
get out of the heat

I've given DisneyQuest two or three chances... which was rather stupid of me. Once was too much.

I think its the biggest waste of space on property.

The best part of it were the 80s arcade games by the lineup for the Buzz Lightyear ball shooting thing.

The games in the building are lame, boring, and just don't work. It's smelly and dirty inside. Hot, lots of standing, loud.

Maybe this level of interactivity was a good thing back when DisneyQuest launched (assuming the games/attractions actually functioned) but in today's age of Wii, Move, Kinect, and 3D gaming... it is so subpar.

If you want something to do on your travel days... explore Downtown Disney (without doing DisneyQuest. Go check out the Cirque show instead), or the Boradwalk. Maybe go do some minigolf at Fantasia Gardens or Wintersummerland.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
I was there today (because I could get in for free).
It has a few attractions that are worth a go or two, but even more of 'em aren't even worth looking at, I'm afraid. It is possible to have fun, though, if you're in the right company. For a family, however... :/

We went when it first opened and thought it was great. I went a few years ago and was surprised how run down it had gotten. If it was kept up I would say go, but now I really don't think it is worth the money.

The last time we went we dropped our kids off (then teenagers) and went shopping. They had their cells and called when they were ready.

We have been there before, once and it was sooooo good!! Expensive, very expensive the last time we were there but I really really enjoyed it especially all the games that you go do if you are going as a family! :sohappy:

Really enjoyed and wish we can go again when we go again :)

First time there which was years ago was a fun an awesome experience considering I was a teenager at that time, Loved everything about it.The games etc. About 8 years later I returned much older but hoping for the same experience I had the last time. But of course, all good things must come to an end. My previous visit turned out only to be a half a day visit that would bring me to conclusion that a second visit was a waste of money because a lot of the games were broken or were too disgusting to touch, and most of the extra stuff to do was being refurbished. All in all I can only conclude that this place has gone downhill like many other posters have suggested. Some advice, if your considering to have a day away from the parks. Have your kids or teenagers bringalong their X-box or PS3 and hook it up to your room's TV, or just spend a day at Downtown Disney or The Disney Boardwalk and save money skipping Disney Quest.

Ech. Yes. It's great if you like that sort of thing. Most boys will love it. I just... It's the epitome of boring.

I used to love the song recording section, but you can't even record a little message like you used to any more.

When Disney Quest first opened, it was really terrific, but over the years it's declined quite a bit. We stop in whenever we're at Disney but only because we have it as part of our Magic Your Way pkg. To shell out $160??? I'd pass to be honest. The ONLY reason we go now is that it's nostalgic for our son. Other posters are 100% correct, either time to do something else at that location or skip it all together. The one positive thing I can say is on a rainy day, it's a good way to keep everyone busy.

I'm actually surprised Disney Quest is still around! I mean I know it's videogames and kids love it etc... but I'm surprised they haven't upgraded. It takes up a vast amount of DTD space - space that could be used towards something more state of the art. I dont know... they still haven't done anything with the old Virgin Records store. So I guess it's not on the top of their priority list.

I don't know about that. I didn't like DisneyQuest when I was a kid. I had better video games at home. Heck I had better video games that I brought along with me on my Game Boy.

This is the key to DQ's current state ultra crappyness. Very little has changed since it opened nearly 14 years ago. In that time we have seen video games evolve to a near cinema level experience and motion control had advanced to a point of being actually good and usable. Nothing in DQ can even compare to what you can get out of your average Xbox 360. Had they kept with the original plan of constant updates (if I am not mistake no game was to be in DQ for more than 5 years) then DQ might actually still be worth $40 a pop. As it sits now the only thing I can say is "Kill it with fire!".

I dont know... they still haven't done anything with the old Virgin Records store. So I guess it's not on the top of their priority list.

The virgin mega store is being converted to a Splitsville. Which will most certainly have better video games than DQ.

Thank you, everyone, for your honest feedback. I knew I'd get more info from you guys to make my decision, then what I could read on the site. ;)

Hi

Hi my husband and I did Disney Quest a few years back, it's about 3 levels of different types of interactive games. There is a vitural Roller Coaster that you create and then ride. I didn't like that too much it gave me motion sickness and I usually never get sick on any rides. We did a few other interactive games one was on a ship with a full 3D screen in front of you where you shoot at stuff. My opinion I think it's ok to check out if it's a raining day out, but I wouldn't go out of my way to pay for this full price at all. Just my opinion. Hope that helps a bit.

What can you tell me about Disney Quest? I've read the little blurbs on the Disney site but I'd like some more info or reviews. On our first afternoon of arrival, we aren't doing any actual theme parks. We are planning on going to the resort pool, maybe some looking around at other resorts, and then dinner & shopping in Downtown Disney. Is Disney Quest really worth another $40 per person? We will be 2 adults & 2 teens. Is it interesting or just a glorified 5 level game room? It looks kind of interesting, but I'd hate to drop $160 if it isn't all that great.

Disney Quest is a nice way to spend an afternoon or evening when the parks are experiencing prolonged rain. When we go to WDW we don't bother with Disney Quest unless there day is supposed to be very rainy. On those days it makes sense because you can stay dry... But it really isn't much more than an arcarde... it used to have somethings that were cool, like the virtual river raft... but now that you have a Kinetic on your Xbox it really isn't that cool anymore... you just wonder, why would I stand in line to do something I can do at home? No many games have help up to time and they don't seem to be very keen on updating them to keep them state of the art... that is the downfall of Disney Quest... 5 years ago I might have recommended it as worth a half day... now its just a back up plan.

My wife and I went in October due to having premium AP's so it was 'free' in effect to us (we'd not visited it for about 8 years). We're both early 40's now and even though I'm like an 8 year old, we were gone within the hour. As others have said the fact that you probably have better games at home on your game systems makes it less appealing than when it opened. We would never pay directly to enter it though we'll pop in for a look in September using our AP's if we have an hour to kill.

I'm a closet fan of Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam, and I love the X-S Tech references that still live around the Invasion! attraction. Astro Blasters is also fun every now and then. Other than those things, though? :dazzle: I wind up in the place once every year or two. We went there to kill time this past Thanksgiving and we were done in under two hours. Thankfully we both had Premier Passports and didn't pay to get in.
