Who does the monorail speil?

Most of us probably already know that the original monorail speil was recorded by none other than Jack Wagner, the "voice of Disney," and that the "Please stand clear of the doors" speil is still him. What I am wondering is who else has done the monorail speil? I'm looking for anyone, past or present, with dates if you have them. I'm especially interested in the guy who who was doing the speil during 2001. He was my favorite. :)

I believe that was Corey Burton. His spiel was replaced in 2005 (I think), but I don't know who did the current spiel. All I know is I loved Corey Burton's spiel, the new one just doesn't have the same appeal.

Jack Wagner? You mean, the Jack Wagner who now plays on "The Bold and the Beautiful"?

Stitch did some monorail speil -- Don't know if he does still or not.

"Welcome to Stitch Kingdom" And for all you haters -- yes, my kids think it is "so funny" that they are going to Stitch Kingdom.

Corey Burton did not do a monorail spiel for WDW. The spiel that lasted from 1996-2005ish was performed by a CM from Epcot Guest Relations who currently has an office job (I believe in WDW Marketing). Sorry, but I can't remember his name. I do not know who the current voice is, but I do know that he is not Corey Burton either. I do, however, think it would be awesome if C.B. did the spiel. You could have Ludwig Von Drake tell you all about "The vonders that avait you at Epcot!"

Stitch makes a cameo on the current Monorail announcement in a futile attempt to encourage people to see Stitch's Great Excrement.

His name is Mathew Hanson. He did it from 1989 until 2005. I do not know who the new guy is. I also believe that Kevin Miles (Magic Music Days announcer and VOL) also did the speil in the mid 80's.

I dont remember hearing Stitch making an announcement when I visted for two days a few weeks back but I do remember seeing a graphic of Stitch on the front of Monorail Green. Looked like he was smashed to the front or something.

Here, here!! I was so disappointed when I was there for NYE 2005 and it wasn't the same voice anymore. That voice is so monotonous and stale; lacked inflection and definitely made you want to tune it out. I heard several guests comment on how they wish he'd stop talking. I realize Disney wants to use the time to plug on-site stuff, but geez... give us SOME peace and quiet.

Incidentally, the guy who used to do the spiel (before the current), was also heard on the WDW Podcasts.

We just got back Sunday from the World. I believe that it is still Jack Wagner's voice on the tram at the Orlando Airport - I heard it twice, and I'm pretty confident.

Also, on our first monorail trip to the MK, I heard that annoying, childish, slobbery Stitch voice come on and say "Welcome to Stitch Kingdom" right before the MK station. How depressing. What a way to ruin the magic. They need to STOP hyping stitch...like...now! I want the old spiel back. I agree that this new guy is boring.

One evening we were on Yellow and the driver had to make the station announcements, and no spiels played at all. But I guess we should expect that from Yellow, eh?

Edwardtc you are correct about Jack Wagner being the voice over at OIA on the shuttle.

At first I really detested the current Spiel, when I first heard it (I think it was Christmas 04) the first time I heard it I was absolutely devistated, but the current one has really grown on me. I also used to hate the Stich part but now I see it as comical and brightens up the trip. Banjici (sp?) is now one of my everyday quotes it has grown on me that much  .

Well, Since I am an advit follower of many voice actors I can say that Corey Burton has done Captain Hook & Ludwig Von Drake for the cartoons. For any Disney Park related..he was the Pirate by the big barrel where the woman hid and mentioning about "X marking the spot" when they redid PoTC. Hallowishes he was the Ghost Host plus he did HM Haunted Holiday for it. He was also the Voice of General Knowledge in Cranium Command at Epcot. Other than that he was in the WDW Explorer vers 2.

Hope this helps

Do they still have "Please Stand Clear of the Doors, Por favor ...etc etc"

They better ALWAYS keep that.

They did as of NYE 2005. That's your guys' version of Disneyland's ever-popular, "Remain seated please. Permaneser sentados, por favor."

As for OIA, when I come in via Southwest, it is no longer Jack's voice on the OIA shuttles. It's only if I come in on the other side (I think Delta, for example) that I hear Jack's voice. You can definitely tell it's when Jack was gettin' up there and you can hear the strain in his voice. His last few years when he was still doing Disneyland announcements, you could really hear it. He was such a legend at Disneyland, "the voice of Disneyland" as he was called. His son took over announcements for the Park for a few years after his dad's death. Now it seems to just be whoever.

When I worked at the Park, and before DCA opened, I used to always look forward to the closing spiel.

I should probably know the answer since I work monorails now, but I don't. I just wish they would take 'Stitch' back out of the spiel.
