OK, no I didn't...I'm NOT that old.(quoting Lil'mermaid...who is reading over my shoulder AGAIN..."yes you are!")

AND NO he wouldn't. She is his first baby and not dealing with her growing up too well.

(heheh, I like you Lil'Mermaid!)

Whoa whoa whoa...it's not like I'm trying to "have her grow up faster"...I'm just letting her ride with me so she can listen to her tunes!!! (she's 15...that's sick)

fun thread!! though, i have way more than 5...i know i'm gonna end up leaving some of the best out. but here goes...

1. The Beatles
2. Nickle Creek
3. Off Kilter
4. Dave Matthews Band
5. toss-up between Nova Era and Rockapella

that's a pretty nice mix, i'd say! and i'll throw in Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, James Taylor, Dan Foggleberg (sp?), Vinyl, and John Mayer in just for fun! :animwink:

btw, SirNim....Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass? i don't hear many people mention them! i love them! their music is just so light-hearted...makes me wanna dance everytime i listen to them! love your avatar, too, btw! i'm a big fan of anything egyptian!

tigsmom...why don't we evaluate the situation at hand...

1. Your daughter is being nice to you (kissing hiney always works Lil'Mermaid)

2. She wants headphones

3. We are pummeling you with old jokes because of the types of music you are making your daughter listen to

4. Your daughter is being nice to you (trying to help you out here Lil ;) )

5. It's only to WalMart

6. Did I mention she's being nice to you?

Now...you drive her to WalMart...(after all...she's being nice to you)...she gets a pair of headphones...she wears them in the car so she can't listen to your god awful old crap...We never hear another thing about how you make her listen to...well...whatever you call it...and voila...the forums and your family is all, once again, very happy...

(Plus...she's being so nice to you!)

(Psst...Lil'Mermaid...let me know how it goes...and remember...you can get a ride from me and listen to 50 cent or whatever...whenever you want)

I'm a fan of BNL too, and proud that they're from my neck of the woods! I have a cool Barenaked Ladies story.

Last year in March (2002) a buddy of mine and I went to WDW. He was kind of grieving his recent divorce, and I thought this would do the trick.

We stayed at the Swan because we got the educator's discount ($99 at the time!)

He's a Karaoke fan (*personally gags*) so when he found out that that Kimonos was a Sushi/Karaoke bar, he just HAD to go.

Well - that very night, at the sister resort, guess who was playing at some convention? Barenaked Ladies! We weren't even aware of that.

Anyway - after their show there, they headed off to Kimonos and sang Karaoke with everyone! It was a really fun night!
