Whispering Canyon Antics question

My son really, really wants to know what kind of "antics" they do at Whispering Canyon. We know about the ketchup & straws, but what do they do if you wear Universal gear? And anything else they may do. Your input would be appreciated. He likes interacting with the wait staff & had fun at 50's. We want to try here and see what he/they do. Thanks!

expect the unexpected. like do not be disappointed if something said is not done, its very random. i can give you suggestions though, order pop for breakfast, ask for ketchup, let server know about birthdays special occasion, there is so much but it depends on when you go

my nephew made the mistake of chewing gum. had to stand up on the chair and shout something silly to everyone- i forget what.

It is pretty random and will depend on the server. There is no real script or "if then" statements they go by. The staff acts in a manner that I would describe as "politely rude". Typically if they see you in gear from another park they will make a comment. If you ask for something special or change your mind, expect some flack. If you try to get them to embarrass your kid on his/her birthday they might comply or they might have you riding around the restaurant on a wooden horse for attempting to embarrass such a sweet little angel.

The best advice I can give is just relax and go with it. Don't try to force it. Oh, and if you are there for breakfast ask for MT. She ain't quick, but she is a hoot.

I saw them have a little pony race/parade around the restaurant. Kids pretended to ride a hobby horse and went by all of the tables.
There was lots of singing also.

As for a big glass of whatever you are drinking. Ask them to make sure it is full.

Sometimes they do the same thing that they do with catsup with crayons. A kid will ask for a yellow crayon, and ends up with 30 of them.

Asking for a little water can be equally as funny.

We went in May 2011 ans our waiter was Right and Neighborly and he was somewhat quiet and when he asked what we did that day we told him we went to Universal and he said "I'm so sorry to hear that!! Don't worry, I won't tell anyone!!!" then he brought me a cupcake for my birthday and when he did, it turns our he really wasn't so quiet like we had though. He shouted so the whole restaurant to hear and everyone sang to me. It was a riot.

I dunno if it's something specific they do, because I feel they give the wait staff freedom with their improv. When we were there this lady stayed on her cell phone, so the guy walked by grabbed the phone, asked the name, then made the entire resturant yell "goodbye bill" and he hung up. great stuff.

My youngest son asked for a large coke...well, they brought him a REALLY LARGE coke in a huge mason jar...and extra straws because the standard one was too short!

What happens can depend on your family, your server and the chemistry between all of you. I've seen families try too hard to get their server to do everything on their list and then become disappointed when it doesn't happen. Enjoy your dinner, enjoy your experience and also enjoy what happens to other tables around you. Sometimes that is even funnier!

I've seen a variety as well and I think your server picks up on whatever vibe you give off. I've gone in "just" wanting to have a nice meal with my wife and was treated accordingly, and I've taken the whole family and gotten the "full show."

I think if you go in with a playful attitude it'll be more successful than taking a checklist trying to get the servers to show you all of their tricks.

If you ask for a refill, they will usually bring a huge Mason jar back. I can drink Diet Coke by the gallon so I always end up with one. I love those huge mugs!

We have reservations there on 9/25 which happens to be my DH birthday. He's a big jokester, so I can't wait to see what happens.

We have ADRs here for October... never been to WCC, and I cannot wait to see DH's face if hes picked out to do or say anything. He's the type who does not like to be the center of attention AT ALL.. Now our DS and myself would go right along with any antics at all. This is gonna be EPIC LOL!!!!

Deb, I am sitting here laughing thinking about you and your husband being the center of attention for the ENTIRE time! They will SO be all over you two! Epic is right!

One of our kids dropped there fork on the floor so they brought her out another one that was 4 foot tall. We've dined there twice and both times had great experiences. Always ask for ketchup even if you don't need it. We had 20+ bottles on our table at one point.

I went here for the first time on my most recent trip in July. The ketchup round-up is classic. At one point, one of the waiters pushed some kids around the restaurant in their chairs. Very funny.
