Im planning to go with a group of 5 adults including myself and the villas seems ideal, if you have any other suggestions I would love to hear them!

The family and I have stayed at the Beach Club Villas, and Old Key West. OKW is alot more casual, quiet, spread out. BCV is in between MGM and Epcot. And across from BWV, not really quiet, Illuminations from world showcase. But for most of the day it's fairly quiet. The lobby of both places are nicely decorated, but BCV shares the lobby with Y&BC, so it can be busy. Hope this helps.

By far, the Wilderness Lodge has the best atmosphere and theming.

I would say Wilderness Lodge Villas. Great theming. Ferries to Magic Kingdom. Walking distance/short bus ride to Fort Wilderness, which has incredible non-theme park Disney-ish things to do. Out of all the DVC resorts, the Wilderness Lodge Villas feel the most "disneyish" to me.

But really, they all have something great to offer. Beach Club & Boardwalk are close to each other, not to mention Swan & Dolphin & Yacht Club. So not only are you within walking distance to all those resorts, with all the amenities and resturants they have to offer...NOT ONLY are you by the Boardwalk, with their old-school boardwalk games & Jellyrolls & Atlantic Dance Club, you're also walking distance to Epcot, and a short ferry ride to The Studios. And at the Beach Club Villas, you have th ebest resort pool available (and it's not open to outside guests).

Meanwhile, staying at OKW or SSR, they both have ferries & walkways to Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island, if you or your party loves the nightlife and gots ta boogie, but the resorts themselves are pretty quiet and serene.

Later this year, my wife and I are spending 6 nights in a Wilderness Lodge Studio, followed by 3 nights in a 1 bedroom villa in OKW. I may try to switch the Wildnerss portion of the trip to Beach Club Villas (we're big on Epcot, and their sandy-bottom pool looks awesome), but we've also gone to WDW quite a bit lately, and we don't have kids, so being so close to the MK isn't that big a deal, especially being so close to two parks (and mini golf). But if we do stay at WLV, I'm not gonna complain at all. We'll spend at least one night at Fort Wilderness, doing the campfire, at least one of the outdoor movies (and O.D. on Smores), and see the water parade. Either way, it's gonna be suh-weet.

My family and I stay at Old Key West and we love it! It's very homey, which is nice for my stepdad who is somewhat anti-Disney. It's very comfortable though, great pool, busses run fantastic. I love it there. We are going in three weeks and I honestly can't wait!!!!!!!!

I guess that it depends on what you want to do during your trip. We really like Saratoga Springs because of the setting and the convenience. When we go to WDW we always go for dinner at one of the resorts, so catching the buses from Downtown Disney is ideal - just a five minute walk from SS. After dinner, we typically catch the bus back to DD, walk around there for awhile and then walk back to SS. For us, it just seems to save a lot of time.

Not sure which I'd pick for themeing... BUT, if you're going with villas... OKW is hands-down the best--mainly for the size of the rooms. OKW villas are the biggest and most comfortable on property. They're HUGE, all villas built after this resort however... not-so-much.

For your party, I highly recommend a 2-bedroom OKW villa. It will not disappoint. :)

I know this is just a little off the reservation... but I must say I was impressed with the villas at the Hilton Head resort. I loved the little touches there that make the rooms feel like Disney, eventhough there isn't a theme park in sight.
