Which signature?

We plan on spending a day at HS but want to leave to go to a signature restaurant. I don't want to eat at the Brown Derby. I'm looking for suggestions of good restaurants that won't require alot of travel time. We are planning on making adr's around 5:00 and then going back to HS for EMH. Thanks

Yachtsman would probably be easiest to get to, however I'd also suggest Kouzzina at the Boardwalk (its not signature but the food for us was on par with signature restaurants on property).

Once again the Hatter and I think with the same stomach!!!

We did Cali for the first time this year and it was VERY GOOD. The service alone was the best we have gotten anywhere in WDW and the food was equally as good. Fireworks from the observation deck were neat but I still think it is way better to watch Wishes from MSUSA.

Boy. This is a tough one. I agree with Cali Grill because the food is great, but the view is awesome.
If its just for the food, Id say Yachtsman, followed by Citricos.
After Cali Grill, as far as food and atmosphere goes, Id pike Sanaa. Its great food with an awesome view of the savannah. Jiko is great as well, but i think id pick Sanaa first because id rather see animals than the pool . Hope this helps!

hmmm.. I would say Flying Fish at the BW, it is the only signature I have eaten at so far (twice) and I loved the fish and the steak. I have also eaten at Sanaa at AKL and loved their food but I don't think it is considered signature and it is kind of out of the way if you are doing HS. I have never had a bad bite at Epcot, but have only done TS at Les Chefs (lunch) and Garden Grill (lunch) and Nine Dragons (dinner) and Akerhaus (dinner), which those were okay but wouldn't recommend them for a special dining event.

I would suggest Le Cellier or the Yachtsmen Steak House.

Something easy would maybe be Yachtsman or blueZoo. Both are close by and won't require much travel. Epcot would add another 30 mins of travel on top of those two, unless you luck out and get the Epcot bus just before it leaves. Anything else you would really need to do a bus transfer to/from the resort, which can take a while unless you are lucky.
