BC - Aug 2012
POLY - Nov 2012
BWI/POLY - Aug 2013
WL/BWV/DOLPHIN - Nov 2013

I liked all the resorts I stayed, with the exception of CBR....for some reason I was not real happy at that resort.

OMG I completely forgot AKL in Aug 2012, spent 3 nites there after BC:eek: OMG how could I forget that!!!??

That is if you are military, retired military, or stay with someone who is. Shades of Green is a very nice resort. It has its charm but it is not overly Disney. It has a few Disney touches, but it looks and feels like an Air Force Inn.

It should be an interesting experience because I'm about to leave for National Guard basic training in the next week and will soon become active military

These are always fun lists b/c I like to reminice at each Resort. It is no surprise, from my posts, that Yacht Club is my all time favorite and Caribbean Beach is my sentimental favorite.

Values:
Pop Century 1x
All Star Movies 2x
(*all for class trips)

Moderates:
Caribbean Beach 12x with family, 6x for class trips
Dixie Landings 1x

Deluxes:
Yacht & Beach Club 12+, but only 1x at Beach
BoardWalk Inn 4x
Swan & Dolphin 3x
Polynesian 1x
Wilderness Lodge 1x

Fort Wilderness '74, '76, '79, '83...all under 18yo with a pop-up camper
Caribbean Beach Trinidad South '92 (trip split with a WorldCon)
All Star Music Jazz '96 (birthday trip split with a shuttle launch)
offsite Disneyland '03 (daytrip from group event in Hollywood)
Boardwalk Villas '09 (birthday and a Star Wars Weekend)
Swan '12
Boardwalk Villas '13

Each time we went to the campgrounds there were substantial changes. Last stay it was just too big, even with a bicycle. These days I try to get a 'resort visit day' to see what's what and where I might want to stay next time, but I like Boardwalk and its neighbor Swan. It's a nice lake for kicking back on the boardwalk. So much nicer to sit down with a frosty drink and a cookie between the dock and the lobby than returning to a hotel room from the bus stop, which is what would happen with the CBR and ASM.

Pop Century: 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2012, & 2013
Port Orleans French Quarter: 2008 & 2010
Contemporary: 2007 & 2009
Polynesian: 2009
Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jambo: 2010
Wilderness Lodge: 2011
Yacht Club: 2011
Grand Floridian: 2013
Animal Kingdom Villas, Kidani Village: 2013

Worth noting, we've spent only 1 day in the WDW 4-parks since 2011. That 1 day was a complimentary ticket on a Disney cruise that called on Port Canaveral as a port day (cruise did not originate in FL). All stays since 2011 have been pre-cruise hotel stays. ;)

You would like Shades of Green. It doesn't cost very much, and it has a peaceful quiet landscape. The main pool is shaped like a Mickey head (the biggest not-so-Hidden Mickey I've seen). Bus transportation was mostly good. I would go there again if I could.
