Which Park Would You Do Twice?

We have a five day park hopper and are planning on doing all four parks and then another park a second time.

Which park would you spend two days at?

First of all, congratulations on your first visit. I hope you have a wonderful time.

The whole point of the park hopper is you can do more than one park each day. I would wait until the the evening of day four after you've been to all the parks to decide how to spend day five.

As people have said, it is unlikely you can do everything in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot in one day. So you could split day five between two parks.

For our family, a fifth day my family would probably try to fit in three parks. Get to AK early to ride Everest and Kali Rapids, get to DHS to do Star Wars, Tower of Terror and RNC, and finish whatever time might be left in the Magic Kingdom.

For a five-day, I would do one day at HS, a half day at AK, a half day at Epcot (it's so pretty at night), a full day at Epcot, and then two full days at MK.

Just a personal preference - AK isn't my favourite, and I think it can easily be done in a half day if you're on limited time. During a longer trip, you could stay for a day and really explore.

How in the world do you do everything at AK in half a day?? Just walking to each attraction is like half a day there. lol

But the OP has just five days.

My next trip is 21 days. But I still say for the OP one and a half days for the MK and Epcot, and one long day at DHS and one day at DAK.

That not only is what I would recommend, but indeed what I do. I have never gone for more then 5 days at a time. And I find that works the best for me. The monorail is what makes that the easiest way to go. Of course, I have also been known to only spend a half day at AK and then either add another half to Epcot or MK.:)

There was even a time when I spent a half day at AK and the other half at DHS (when it was Disney/MGM). I, at one time, had a rough time making a whole day out of DHS. Now it's anywhere from 3/4 day to full. My feet, legs and aging body require some downtime in that 5 day time span as well.

Depends if you have children with you. If so, they would probably prefer MK, I know mine did when they were young. If not, see what you still need to do by the last day.

We rarely spend the whole day at one park anyway, MK and HS always feel hot and noisy by early afternoon (no children nowadays!) so we tend to go to Epcot or AK which are more spacious, visit a resort or go back to our hotel pool/bar/balcony.

Park Hopper is the only way to go. I would go crazy going to only one park a day. We split between 2-3 parks a day! Usually we wind up at MK every night, though and if you have to double up MK would be the way to go. To me, it has a completely different feel morning, afternoon and night. Have fun!

The answer is.. don't think of it as 'one park per day' - just do what you want and goto whatever park.

I find myself ending most nights at MK because its open the latest. Those nights mean less reason to spend mornings and other time at the MK.

It's not uncommon for us to hit a park at opening to pick off the 'must dos' and then move onto another park for the rest of the day.. and possibly a night cap at the MK.

Hit the parks.. and then simply decide what attractions you want 'more of' and just go and see them!

Epcot or MK. Find out which park has the EME. MK and Epcot's EME hours usually to at least midnight...go to AK on the day Epcot or MK has the EME, and then finish at the park with the EME. On the 5th day, you could go to the other (the one you didn't go to after AK closed) again!!

That was the point I was trying to make, actually -- you can't do everything, but you can do the main attractions in a half day.

Ohhhh! Okay! I see. The non-major attractions are my favorite part but I guess if it's a time issue they could be cut? I just don't know why anybody would want to sell themselves short if they have a full 5 day trip. I could see perhaps if it was a 4 day trip. But a 5 day trip is plenty of time to do everything without cutting out the Animal Kingdom attractions. AK has a lot more to offer than the Safari, Everest and Dinosaur to me.

I guess it's all down to personal preference. I agree that AK has a lot to offer -- my favourite part of it is actually just looking because it's SO visually stunning. The details are incredible. I also love the shopping there, and the drinks!

My preference on a 5 day trip would be just a half day at AK, but I agree for a first-time Disney guest, AK is a full day park. Exploring is half the fun. :)

If you're going now, I'd say you should do Epcot in one day, leaving the Land pavilion (Soarin, LWTL, CoL movie) for after illuminations, sleep late the following day and use that last half-day at MK. I don't know how much longer they'll be leaving that Land pavilion open late. I hope it will become a permanent thing, but doubt it.

If you are planning to not need sleep (which you will), save the extra time for the last day and just go back to whatever you skipped due to rain, time restraints or sleeping late.

Did I miss any mention of kids and their ages? When I go with just adults we spend the second 1/2 of a day at MK. Now that my sister's kids are eenagers 1 day at MK and maybe an evening to see the fireworks one more time. It also depends on where you are staying, close to one park makes it easy to park hop for something special like an ADR. We usually split up all the days, don't stay from rope drop to closing at any one park. For our family it works if the kids get away from the park for a little down time and then they are ready to close a park.

Without children, I would recommend Epcot. If you have kids, MK. Do some research on what each park has. If one of them appeals to you more based on what it has, go to that one on your fifth day.

While there are four parks in WDW, really there is only one park you should need two days for: Magic Kingdom. Epcot would be a close second, but seeing as how Test Track is currently closed, and a few attractions really don't have that re-do factor...I could honestly only see you going to Epcot a second time for a stroll through World Showcase.
DHS and DAK...no way.
