No don't Universal. Most people tell me when they are going to Florida they are going to Disney first Universal second then Sea World.

I visited Busch Gardens for the first time last week. Although, I enjoyed the part primarily for their Halloween event, I did get a chance to see some animals and attractions. I almost dare to say that Busch Gardens can be sometimes better than Animal Kingdom from everything from food choices, attractions, and even how I can see animals.

So as far as Animal Kingdom goes, Busch Gardens is most competitive there. Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure competes the most with Disney World in general, but especially Disney's Hollywood Studios where guests often mistake the two asking for Harry Potter, Spiderman, The Mummy, and Jurassic Park at Disney and asking for Tower of Terror, Star Wars, and "the aerosmith coaster" at Universal.

I could not vote fairly in this post for the following reason. If your staying at a WDW resort there is no comparison at all. To me the other parks don't even come close to the feel and Magic that the whole WDW with resort experience provides. Maybe that's why I we are currently in process of becoming a DVC members shortly. Disney to the DWF and I is more than a park. It's truly about the experience and Magic of staying there. This to me is more than any other park experience can provide. We did stay a few years ago at Uni Resort for two days and did not like the experience. Not bashing Uni at all here. We have been to Gatorland and love it, but again AK is so much more than just gators. Sea World outside of Disney is my favorite of all. I just love the olphins and Killer Whales and love feeding the sting rays and wlaking through the sharks is really cool. Sea World is totaly a different kind of experience all together and can not be compared to AK.

And what, exactly, would that be? I've stayed at non-Disney resorts before (not in Florida), and none of the Disney resorts offer even a tenth of what you can get at those resorts. "Being there in the magic" is simply a state of mind. If you took any of the Disney resorts and plopped them down anywhere else, they would be considered "lacking" compared with their competitors.

Mark my words. Parks like Splendid China, Six Gun Territory and Boardwalk and Baseball will run Disney out of Florida.:lookaroun

But the issue here is they are in WDW and not plopped down anywhere else. Put the whole experience together with the resort, parks and water parks, throw in DTD and you have an overload for the sences. Now I can truly talk to you about staying at the Royal Pacifc in Uni that was very beautiful but felt we were in a plush hotel and did not enjoy the experience. There are a lot of Resorts around the World that people will love and immensely enjoy. For us it happens to be WDW. Been around quite a bit and still find there's no place like WDW for us. Lastly we like to do things at WDW resorts during our stay like rent Bicycles, Go on the Bass Fishing excursion, Rent Boats, Go cane pole fishing. I am not saying that WDW is the Best of all resorts that one can experience in the world, but it's the one that our family loves and wants to keep going back to and enjoys. When you get right down to it, isn't that what truly matters (With a little Pixy Dust thrown in).

1. Universal
2. Sea World
3. Busch Gardens
...
99753. Gatorland

This.

And wow, I'm surprised there's not more love for SeaWorld. I love that park! Many parts of it feel very inspired, and bordering on Disney quality of design (Meditteranean-styled waterfront, the Pacific area, the inside of Wild Arctic with the shipwreck...)
