Which one should we leave out?

Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios needs to be left out of our November 3 park vacation.
We are a family of three Me: 55 Wife: 43 Daughter: 16
Our last visit was 2015 and we only went to Magic Kingdom
But....we did have 3 visits before that .
Two of those three visits we did all 4 parks
One visit we eliminated Animal Kingdom.
*
Kindly consider using 2013 as a reference point........
What's new at Hollywood Studios since our last visit in 2013?

We really have to stick to three parks in November and then head back to NJ.
I'm hoping this thread will help me decide which park I will leave out.

Thanks!
Steve
PS
I found Animal Kingdom to have less rides that interested me. The Nemo show with cast members holding fish on sticks does not interest me.
Yet, In Hollywood Studios the Chinese theater ride is good a couple of times, but if it is exactly the same today...well there is no element of surprise. Thoughts anyone??? :):happy:

Probably showing the Star Wars show in early November?
A "show"? ....not a ride?
Is there a Star Wars ride or that is projected for beyond our arrival in early November?

There is a nightly Star Wars projection and fireworks show so that should still be showing in November. The only Star Wars ride at that time will be Star Tours. There is also a Star Wars show during the day in front of the Chinese Theater that focuses on a lot of the characters. Another Star Wars show is Path of the Jedi which is shown in a theater near the Indy Stunt Show, it is basically a clip show of the movies. Then there is the Launch Bay with meet and greets with characters and some movie props.

There is a whole Star Wars land being built called Galaxy's Edge but that won't be open until sometime in 2019.

Well @SteveBrickNJ I'm far from an expert here and I know a lot more people have been to Disney more than me on here but this is my opinion.

At DHS you have TT, ROR, TSM and Star Wars ride, in November there will also be the two new toy story rides. So that's 6 rides. 5 shows.
Don't get me wrong I like the park but I'm a tree hugger and would take AK anyday.

Pandora is awesome to see in person. It is small but what they did in the space is unbelievable. The Quick service restaurant in Pandora has gotten rave reviews. We haven't eaten there yet but I will in June. I honestly haven't heard one bad thing about it. You can't get Fast passes for both of the Pandora rides, so when I was there I got FOP fastpass and was going to come back for Na'vi River but never made it (also a goal for June). I have heard Na'vi River is pretty short but visually appealing.

In AK you have Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl, Dino Spinner (can't recall the name), EE, Kali River, Kilimanjaro Safari, FOP and Navi River. That's eight rides. 3 Shows. 4 if you count the projection on the Tree of Life. Plus you have two animal trails, Gorilla Falls trail and Marahajah Trail. AND if your into animals you can ride a train back to the Affection Section and hang out with pigs, goats and learn about some of the things that go on to help the animals (the bathrooms are particularly funny there). Oh and I forgot... The bird show (sorry they just renamed it).

If your a family that goes fast from ride to ride AK may not be an all day park for you. If you want a day to stroll and look at all the architecture, rides, shows and animals then I would definitely give it another try.

Ugh...Disney decisions are always so hard........

I just watched 4 minutes and 10 seconds of this youtube video on Star Tours . Very Cool!!!! The video is over 7 minutes but I want to have some surprise if we select HS....so I stopped at that point.
Clever! Fun! It's influencing me toward HS, but I have to check out AK Pandora on youtube as well.
Where did they put this Star Tours attraction? Did it take the place of something I saw in 2013? Like....what's in the building or location that used to have American Idol?

Star Tours isn't new. It was there when you were there in 2013!

Hmm.
Really?
Maybe I did not realize back then that Star Tours was a ride associated with Star Wars. Maybe I accidentally overlooked it. When did it open in HS? Edit....found my own answer.... Google search stated it opened in 2011. Maybe my wife and daughter had no interest in Star Wars so I never saw it. Back to current day...My 16 year old loved the recent Star Wars movie and we WOULD enjoy Star Tours for sure :)

I watched some of a lengthy review of Pandora Avatar.....the reviewer and another person who just got off the ride said they were "UNDERwhelmed" They expected more. The ride has one spectacular moment and the rest of it has a lot of dead spots.
The "review" is too lengthy. Not watching all of that. Not presenting it here.
But....Here is a shorter video of just the ride: "Avatar Land Boat Ride"

That's not the main ride in Pandora though. The one you want to look for is Flight of Passage.

I'll add in my vote for Animal Kingdom over DHS.

There is so much to see at AK, especially if you have already skipped it.

FOP is awesome and I have never seen Avatar. The land itself is great to walk through. It's pretty cool at night as well.

Wondering if you have already seen Finding Nemo the musical or are just thinking you wouldn't be interested? Because IMO, it is the second best show on property after Festival of the Lion king.

My family loved Rivers of Light. Fits perfectly in the theme of AK.

We can easily spend a full day there without even stretching it. It's a great place to slow down a little and experience the park, not just rush through it.

Dinosaur! is a fun ride too and I don't remember that being mentioned. Safari, EE, Kali to name a few more.

Star Tours has been at the Studios (first MGM now Hollywood) since 1989, it was re-imagined to Star Tours the Adventure Continues in 2011. It is located back by Muppet Vision.

I showed my wife the two new Pandora rides and a different video that features all the nightime luminescent lights . It seems likely that AK will win. My teen is the problem. She thinks DHS would he better . I will have to show her the videos and win her over.

It was so cool!! As I've aged I've become far sided and have to wear readers to work on the computer or read. I noticed that some of the ride wasn't in focus due to my lack of not wearing my cheap glasses for things up close. Another thing I'll fix when I'm back in June. I just thought I'd mention it if anyone in your family wears readers.

I would skip HS. Not much to do until Star Wars opens. I would keep AK because of the new Pandora and also because AK makes me feel like I,ve traveled across the world in one day. AK has to be one of the prettiest parks.
