There ARE a few resorts we have not stayed at in 28 years in WDW for various reasons. Have not stayed at Grand Floridian, Yacht Club, Swan or Dolphin, Saratoga,Key West...price not withstanding, which one of those should we def not miss out on and why.....

Out of the ones you mentioned the only one I have stayed is GF. I love the GF and how close it is to the Magic Kingdom. The GF's rooms are a nice size and the staff are wonderful. The hotel never felt stuffy when we were there, stayed here twice, and both times were wonderful. The best view is the Magic Kingdom view that you get from the Conch Key Building. I've stayed in that building twice and love the large balconies and how you can sit there and watch both the fireworks and Water Parade. Rooms on the third and fourth floor are the best but I don't remember the exact room numbers...sorry. If you have access to the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World it gives you the best and worst rooms and I have always asked for the best rooms and got them. The lobby is great as well. Live music, comfortable seating and a great place to people watch. Lots of shops to visit as well and the grand staircase is beautiful. Good luck in deciding which one to stay. I will be staying at the Yacht Club for the first time next year and I am really looking forward to it. Stayed at Beach Club and enjoyed the easy walk to Epcot.

I haven't stayed at any but the Pop, but I would probably say Grand Floridian is a must do at least once. I may be 60 or 70 before I do, but I definitely want to try it at least once. We were supposed to stay at the tree houses at Saratoga Springs this fall, but some family members backed out so we switched to the Contemporary to be closer to the action. I am excited about the Contemporary but there is party of me that really wants to stay at the Tree houses. I am sure all of them would be great!

DO NOT miss out on the Swan or Dolphin!!! They're truly amazing, beautiful, comfortable resorts that obviously do not have some Disney perks like Magical Express and +10 day ADR booking, but many positives exist including taking other Disney transportation and Extra Magic Hour entry. The location is key and they're so much cheaper than their neighboring Boardwalk Area resorts.

Totally agree. I didnt give the Swan and Dolphin much thought until my mom and I got a great deal to stay there last month. No, some of the Disney perks like DME are missing (Mears works just fine as an alternative) but seriously, both are beautiful well run hotels. I was really impressed with all the restaurant choices and their pool (actually multiple pools) are really nice. The location is excellent. 10 minute walk to Epcot. 10 minute ferry ride or 20 minute walk to DHS. Boardwalk is right across the bridge and if you want ice cream, Beaches and Cream is a 5 minute walk. The beds are also seriously comfy. They use some sort of special brand.

And last but certainly not least... It's a deluxe hotel at a much cheaper price than the others since its not technically Disney (Even though you get Fisney transport and EMH... Seriously, I barely noticed it wasn't a Disney hotel in the traditional sense). Would recommend to anyone.

It's just a matter of personal preference. They're all good. All have strong points. :)
