I think service and cleanliness are both very important, but I voted for service to be first. I don't care how clean you are, if you give me poor service, it may be the last time you see me. So here's my official order:
1. guest service
2. cleanliness
3. number of rides

This would not change for other locations either. I will always think that the service provided is the most important thing. Working in guest service management will do that to you! I do think that while with Disney service and cleanliness are very close, cleanliness would be more of an equal to the number of rides at other places like Six Flags. The order wouldn't change though. Walking through my local Six Flags park, I see how dirty the place really is (especially now that I've worked for Disney!) I'm constantly noticing things that are "bad show" even though my park doesn't really think in those terms.

EDIT: My order would probably have to change to this now that I realize that I misinterpreted the rides part of the question. It would now look like this:
1. Still guest services
2. # of rides we were able to experience
3. cleanliness
I really do believe these all go hand in hand, but I changed it for this reason. If I go somewhere and spend a great deal of money to do so, I usually get a little upset if I only ride a couple of things. Whereas, while I still think a clean park is very important, it probably won't ruin my trip if I see a napkin on the ground or something. Guest service will still be number one because I still believe that the way the guests are treated is the most important thing. I really do think that all of these things are very close together in rank and are all very close together in importance.

First -- Cleaniness of Attractions etc

Second -- Good Service

Third -- Number of Attractions Experiences

I say that because a clean park is important, but good service runs VERY close 2nd. The number of attractions is barely important, in some ways. At least compared to the other two.

Hope you do well with whatever thing this was related to school with!

1) Good Service--bad service can ruin any experience, whether it is at WDW or the corner drugstore.

2) Cleanliness--one of the best aspects of WDW is that the bathrooms never look like sketchy gas stations and that the parks are always fairly well cared for.

3)Attractions--the main reason why most of us go, obviously, but not the most important thing when it comes to the overall experience. You can always enjoy the rides, but the day stinks if an employee treats you poorly or if the park is a mess.

Good luck!

Thanks for closing the poll on my 24th birthday.
Now for an answer.

As a CM...I want good service. I had a nice discussion tonight with a guest that's a CM at Disneyland. I've stopped visiting stores/restaurants that I was loyal to because of horrible service that I'd see more and more often. I like going to other theme parks, but for the most part, I seem to get better service at WDW.

I next want cleanliness. However, that is part of good service. If I go into a store and see something filthy, I probally won't be back. Take some of the Winn-Dixies in my area. Prices are better, but Publix looks much nicer so I shop at Publix. Same for theme parks.

Last is rides (or at least latest and greatest). I want substance, I want quality. I don't care if you're roller coaster can go 100 MPH. I'm probally not going to ride anyway. However, you either need rides with re-rideability or superior stories/quality.

When 1 and 2 are equal, I'll go to something that has more rides that I enjoy. I'll go to AK first, because the animals aren't going to be doing the exact same thing every time I go. I'd choose to go to SeaWorld next, but I find that 1 and 2 aren't up to AK or WDW Standards. I'll pay a premium for better service and cleanliness.

Wow, it's tough to priortize them! They really all are so interdependent on each other in my book, but I will try.

After thinking a little bit:

1-For me, cleanliness is at the top, because if it is not neat and clean, I cannot be comfortable, no matter how good the service is.

2-Good service is a very close second, though!

3-Attractions are of course why I am there, however if nothing is clean and people are not giving good service, the attractions will not be worth it.

I put service first, because I would include cleanliness in service, its all part of the package. Like others have said, Disney is the standard by which I judge all others. The rush to have the tallest, fastest, etc. doesn't impress me, nor does it keep me coming back. I used to live in Ormond Beach, and what Brent said about Publix vs Winn Dixie brought a smile to my face. They were only about a block apart. Publix also got my money, even though Winn Dixie was cheaper.

1) Once you vote for the most important factor, please post which factor is the second most important, and the third.

followed by cleanliness, then the amount of attractions

2) Indicate if there is a difference in your answer if you were to think specifically about WDW only. If there is a difference I need to know the order of importance just for WDW.

That would be the same for all parks

Your Welcome

Cleanliness is next to Godliness you know. It's important for the guests experience; however, if the CMs are rude to guests that ruins the experience too so I voted for Guest Service.

1. Guest Service
2. Cleanliness
3. Attractions.

1. Cleanliness, along with this goes condition of the park. I went to DL Paris once, what a mess. Totally ruined the magic. Food poisoning I got didn't help.

2. Good service. This sort of goes with #1, but rude people can, and usually do, ruin anything.

3. Number of rides. Quality over quantity any day.

My number one choice would be Cleanliness of attractions/park, followed by Good Service and Amount of rides/attractions experienced.

In a clean, well-tended park, you're bound to find a polite, efficient staff. Otherwise, the park wouldn't be that clean in the first place. The amount of rides and attractions is just a bonus. I don't need to have a new attraction every year to book a new trip to WDW.

(please note I didn't read everyone elses answers)

Good Service is what I picked, because the park can be as clean as can be, have the best rides in the world, but if every employee (CM) is mean or rude, the whole experience is ruined.

I chose good service because I think that if there is good service, then everything else goes together nicely. When good service is provided, my number two choice is met which is cleanliness followed by my third choice, ride quality. When I think about these guidelines, I think exclusively about WDW, not any other Disney park.

Good luck with your school project!

I definately put "Good Service" at the top. I don't care if the park is immaculate (well, actually I do) but if every employee/cast member makes me feel like I'm unwelcome, then I most definately won't be back. Cleanliness is a very, very close second. If the park is filthy, then not only is it not asthetically pleasing, it would suggest safety hazards. Also, cleanliness would generally follow from good service. Last, but nowhere near least, is ride quality. The rides have to be good quality, not puke-your-brains-out while going 100 miles per hour in a completely unthemed steel cage. It's just not appealing to me. However, each of these three elements need to be present in a successful park. One thing that stuck with me when I went to Universal was that the employees weren't nearly as friendly as they were at Disney. I did go on some very good rides that day, and the park was very clean, but what I remember most is the disposition of the employees.

And yes, I do hold every park to the same standards.

I agree... Furthermore, I think that cleanliness is part of providing good service....they really go hand-in-hand.

I'm in the minority....I picked rides first, basically because when I go to a park, I'm not seeking out contact with CM's or workers, I'm focusing on what the park offers. I appreciate if they're polite, but it doesn't ruin my day if they aren't.

I put cleanliness third, but then, I find the...shall we say...unmaintained nature of many carnivals and county fairs a bit charming in its own way. I'm not a neat freak.

I do need to explain something.

The option of rides and attractions does NOT pertain to how many are available, but rather how many you were able to experience in one day.

Please note if that changes your vote.
